Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in building and enhancing our payments processing application. This role is integral to developing scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions using a J2EE stack, microservices architecture, PostgreSQL, and a suite of modern logging and caching tools. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong background in payment systems, event-driven architecture, and related technologies. 

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development
•    Architect, design, and develop secure and scalable microservices for our payment processing platform using J2EE. 
•    Leverage PostgreSQL for efficient, optimized data storage and retrieval. 
•    Implement and optimize caching strategies using Hazelcast to improve application performance. 2. Event-Driven Architecture: 
•    Develop event-driven components and workflows to enable real-time processing and responsiveness within the application. 
•    Integrate with asynchronous messaging systems to support high-volume transaction processing. 3. Logging & Monitoring: 
•    Set up and manage robust logging solutions using Kinana and ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) to facilitate real-time log search, analytics, and troubleshooting. 
•    Implement alerting and monitoring mechanisms to ensure high availability and performance of critical services. 4. Quality & Security: 
•    Adhere to industry standards for code quality, performance, and security in payment applications. • Conduct code reviews and performance optimizations, and enforce best practices in software engineering. 5. Collaboration & Mentorship: 
•    Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, QA, and Product, to deliver high-quality solutions. 
•    Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and supporting their growth. Required Qualifications 

Skills and Experience

Technical Skills 
•    Programming Languages: Strong expertise in Java (J2EE stack) with knowledge of relevant frameworks. 
•    Microservices: Hands-on experience in microservices development and deployment, particularly with event-driven architecture. 
•    Databases: Advanced skills in PostgreSQL, including query optimization and performance tuning. 
•    Caching: Experience with Hazelcast or similar caching tools, focusing on distributed caching. 
•    Logging & Monitoring: Proficiency with Kinana for logging and the ELK stack for log management and search. 
•    Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. 
•    Basic SWIT MT Knowledge is a must
•    ISO 20022 MX Messages and paymants knowledge is a plus and working in a ISO transformation project is a major +

•    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
Experience: 8+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in payments, finance, or related domains.
