Summary

The Financing & Securities Services (FSS) business has a unique footprint in Asia, Middle East, and Africa, and offers a growing range of products, including direct custody, international custody, funds services, trustee services, transfer agency, prime services, and agency securities lending, to several client sectors including banks, investors, intermediaries, sovereigns, fund managers insurance companies and corporates.

 

The jobholder is part of the Global Funds & Fiduciary (F&F) product team, responsible for (i) enabling a competitive product suite that will grow and retain the existing book of business; (ii) developing new products and services to respond to market changes and generate new revenue streams and (iii) to ensure those are done within a controlled and compliant environment. The team is also responsible for the end-to-end proposition to clients, specifically Investors/Insurance, and in line with the target operating and technical delivery model of the Bank

Responsibilities

  • Lead Fund Administration as a sub-product within F&F, identifying locations of where this product should be launched, defining and executing the product plan in collaboration with sales and support functions (including technology and operations), and ensuring overall profitability of this product. 
  • Contributes to the formulation or realignment of strategy for the business across fund services products and specifically for fund administration
  • Support expansion of Fund Administration and broader Fund Services product suite through launch of new products and enhancements to existing product based on business opportunities.
  • Support growth in the Investor and Insurance segments in line with Corporate & Institutional Banking strategy to focus on Financial Institutions
  • Support sales in strategic investor/insurance mandates including participating in RFP, sales pitches, identifying differentiators and facilitating pricing discussion
  • Work collaboratively with members of the FSS, Financial Markets (FM), and Client Coverage (CC) to ensure cross-product, cross-business opportunities are realised
  • Work collaboratively with support functions (operations, technology, etc) ensuring products and solutions are developed and delivered as per plan and are pervasive
  • Work closely with Custody & Clearing team and Digital Assets team to ensure alignment and efficient delivery of the overall securities services offering
  • Ensures the fund and fiduciary products and solutions can be delivered in an efficient, scalable, and sustainable operating model
  • Awareness of market trends, regulatory changes, digital and data innovation developments, and capitalizing on these where applicable in alignment with FSS strategy
  • Thought-leadership on digitization and use of DLT in our product solutions
  • Create visibility for FSS through participation in conferences and industry events

Qualifications

  • CPA or equivalent accounting qualification will be preferred
  • Experience in the financial services sector with strong understanding of fund administration and related fund services products and operations. Practitioner in the fund services industry with in-depth experience in Asset Management / Fund Administration of at least 15 years
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the securities and funds markets especially for Asia and Africa/Middle East markets with focus on Asset Managers, Insurance and Asset Owner clients.
