Job Summary

•    The role holder is accountable for end to end delivery of Financing and Securities Services which includes the below 
o    Domestic Custody Settlement
o    Client and Regulatory Reporting
o    Client Query Management
o    Corporate Actions
o    Billing
o    Master File Administration
o    Incoming Message Control & Reconciliation
•    The role holder will also be responsible for overall governance of FSS products serviced in the country which includes monitoring of volumes, service levels, losses/lapses, issues, Risk registers and Internal/External Audit/reviews.

Key Responsibilities

Business
•    To maintain positive working relationships with CIB, FM Sales, Trading Desk, Treasury Markets for smooth day to day delivery of FSS products.
•    To maintain a positive working relationship with Stock Exchange / Depository and other Divisions of the Bank.
•    Ensuring Compliance with all Group and country policies, code of conduct and consistency in execution, and to ensure that statutory regulations and laws as a corporate body are met and satisfied.
•    Ensure day to day operating compliance with all relevant local and global regulatory requirements and industry best practice.
•    Management of Risk effectively, including identification, communication and remediation of risks to the relevant forums.

Processes
•    To ensure accurate and timely execution of daily settlement processes. 
•    To ensure that all procedures and controls are executed effectively as per the defined procedures and local regulations (where applicable). 
•    To ensure all transactions are executed in the Central Depository and Clearing systems in a timely and accurate manner.
•    Monitors failed trades.
•    Meets client specific requirements as per their Standing Instructions, SLA, specific instructions and internal standards.
•    Ensure timely reporting with Treasury for FX transactions to avoid any financial losses.
•    To ensure accurate and timely execution of billing, account opening, and client services activities. 
•    To ensure that end of day reconciliation is performed for the incoming messages and instructions to avoid any misses and ensure tracking of pending instructions. 
•    To ensure that all client queries are responded to in a timely manner and avoid any escalations due to non-responsiveness. 

•    Local Subject Matter Expert for all in country and hubbed processes.
•    Coordination of errors, near misses and loss write ups impacting FSS operations.
•    Ensure timely and accurate submissions for all Regulatory Reporting.
•    Effective monitoring of nostro, sundry, suspense and TP GL reconciliations across both products.
•    Approval of CSTs/KCIs.

People & Talent
•    Ensure continuous improvement of team(s) performance through regular and constructive feedback. 
•    Lead through example to set the appropriate culture and working environment.
•    Assist and engage team members in learning and development.

Risk Management
•    Participate and contribute to the effective operation of Country/Group specific Business Operational Risk Forums in managing Operational Risks.
•    Ensure operational incidents (losses or near misses) are logged in accordance with relevant policies.
•    Ensure root causes reports relating to operational incidents are completed in line with the Bank policies including meeting of all the reporting time lines. This includes the implementation of any appropriate process and control changes to minimize the probability of a re-occurrence.

Regulatory & Business Conduct
•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
•    Lead the FSS team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles: [Fair Outcomes for Clients; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.] * 
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
•    Effectively collaborate with the National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited and the Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited any regulatory changes, inspection or other matters.
