Key Responsibilities
- Identify and implement standardised reporting
- Ensure a robust financial control over all balance sheet items and ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial accounts.
- Manage reviews and checks of key controls standards and reporting results thereof.
- Financial accounting/reporting activities such as month end close of financial accounts, reconciliation of account balances, analytical review of variances in key account balances between periods, quarterly IFRS reporting to HO
- Challenging current practices and procedures and identifying opportunities for efficiencies including task migrations
- Proactive approach in identifying, raising, reporting and resolving ledger integrity issues ensuring analyst/s team focus on critical activities.
- Taking ownership and responsibility for recurring tasks and reporting’s in this area (e.g. EORP, FCS, etc.)
- Ensure that all financial control issues are tracked and resolved
- Execute an effective risk management framework, and promote a strong risk management and a compliance culture
- Work closely with the Financial Control Unit Head in managing the Financial Controls & Risk function. Ensure financial control policies and compliance monitoring measures are in place and being adhered to
