Job Description: 

Job Summary

This job is responsible for the trading of investment banking business. 

Key Responsibilities

Business

•    Lead business development and client origination for bonds and ABS business.
•    Identify and originate new business opportunities by actively engaging with potential and existing clients, maintaining strong client relationships, and expanding the deal pipeline.
•    Support in deal execution, including preliminary due diligence, design feasible plan, communicate and negotiate with clients and 3rd party agencies, prepare filing documents etc for asset securitization projects and bond projects.
•    Support in deal origination and pitching, including project screening, design deal structure, pitchbook preparing etc.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Skills and Experience

•    1-3 years of relevant experience in the financial industry, with exposure to deal origination within investment banking or related areas.
•    Demonstrates an initial client network or access to potential business resources, with the ability to contribute to deal sourcing and pipeline development.
•    Fast-learning, problem-solving driven, possessing industry and product knowledge of bonds/ABS business
•    Education - Bachelor or above
•    Languages- Chinese & English

Qualifications

•    EDUCATION: Bachelor or Above
•    LICENSES: SAC Qualifications 
•    LANGUAGES: Chinese & English

Role Specific Technical Competencies

•    Written and spoken English
•    MS applications
•    Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills
•    Experience of working within a demanding fast paced environment involving high levels of customer care
