Job Description: 

Job Summary

The Incumbent will be responsible for correct and timely submission of reporting to concerned stakeholders. He/she will be able to embed new rules or regulations related to reporting (both country and Group). The applicant should be able to define and liaise with internal and external stakeholders for timely and correct submission of reports. The responsibility also includes supporting the Credit Initiation and Fraud Risk Management function of the bank in its various activities.

Key Responsibilities

•    Accurate and timely submission of reports to concerned stakeholders
•    Act quickly to embed new rules, regulations and requirements in the reporting applicable to be submitted to country and group stakeholders
•    Document a comprehensive process note capturing all process steps related to each reports
•    Liaise with stakeholders to arrive at common consensus for matters related to regulatory reporting
•    Develop templates, use automation or bank approved platforms to increase productivity and efficiency
•    Establish robust quality assurance process to ensure the submitted reports are accurate and timely
•    Ensure a back up is ready to support the activities in times of need.
•    Timely escalation of risk issues to Line Manager, Senior management as deemed necessary
•    Maintain and disseminate MIS to concerned stakeholders, understand bank’s and regulator’s risk management framework and reporting standards 
•    Introduce best practices in risk management and reporting


Strategy
•    Appraise and contribute to the development of the Bank’s strategic plans.
•    End to end ownership of the reporting to drive credit quality, client experience and operational efficiency.
•    Align the Risk operations and portfolio management strategy of Wealth and Retail Banking (WRB) business strategy and risk appetite and oversee its execution. 
•    Effectively deliver the strategic initiatives on digital onboarding and embedding new technologies for auto credit decision and faster turn around time (TAT).
•    Build a Centre of Excellence to support the shifting of risk management to the frontline. 
•    Support to strengthen the Organisation’ s risk reporting culture and accountability and help reinforce the defence line up.
•    Help manage Fraud Risk effectively associated with payments, liability, assets and other digital frauds by liaising with country stakeholders.

 

Business
•    Follow the strategic intent and agenda for the Credit Initiation and Fraud Risk Management function of the bank.
•    Provide Group information, guidance, best practice and expertise to ensure that the Function applies the same business strategy and operate the risk management system;

Processes
•    Ensure highest level of data quality in all submissions in line with regulatory and bank’s expectation
•    Good understanding of Regulatory requirements, Credit Policies and Fraud Risk management policies and Processes.
•    Keep track of performance metrics, taking corrective actions, analysing bottlenecks and implementing solutions that bring process performance to the next level. 
•    Identify and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to support the reporting quality and daily operations. 
•    Cross functional experience of Risk – Collections / Fraud / Credit Policy preferred
•    Ensure effective management of operational risks within the Function and compliance with applicable internal policies, and external laws and regulations. Identify and report all weaknesses inherent in the standard controls .
•    Leads the development of the design, management and adherence of key operating controls and levers that improve end to end reporting efficiency and stakeholders expectation.
•    Ensure capacity is adequate to support the processing, and the linkage between capacity planning, volumes and expenses remains robust at all times. 
•    Work with  Business Partners, Product Partners and Risk team members to optimize Strategy and Processes
•    Manage and improve unit costs.
•    Establish initiatives and plans to improve performance.

•    Operational Excellence 
•    Early Deliqnuency Reviews and feedback to policy teams. 
•    Cross functional training to develop risk awareness and culture. 
•    Service Reviews embedded with KPIs , KRIs and KCIs . 
•    Effectively manage and handle escalations/process breaches 
•    Responsible for managing vendors supporting the onboardign activites including those that are outsorced. 
•    Develop and maintain fraud management capabilities, skills and infrastructure in the region that are in compliance with both internal policies and external regulations and are responsive to fraud attacks

Risk Management
•    Ensure computation, logic and parameters related to reporting are aligned with regulatory framework, policies and stakeholders’ expectation
•    Develop a collaborative relationship with regulators, peer banks and various industry forums to help detect and mitigate fraud
•    Ensure various fraud risks are being actively prevented and detected in a timely manner on an end-to-end basis


Governance
•    Maintain a good understanding of the requirements relevant to the role and ensure that these are well understood reflected in internal procedures.
•    Maintain and open and cooperative relationship in dealings with Second Line and third Line.
•    Support the Risk owners to ensure business heads and all risk control owners understand and accept their risk management responsibilities.
•    In the event of regulatory breaches, policy breaches or where credit appetite have been breached, ensure senior management are informed and that actions are taken quickly to remediate.
•    Identifying and reporting all exceptions on non-compliance with standard controls
•    Service level are to be checked and monitored and ensure there is no breach.
•    Participate and contribute in relevant Country governance forums and committees

Qualifications

•    Post Graduate degree in Management, Economics, Finance, Statistics or Data analytics and/or
•    Professional certifications like CFA/CA/ACCA/CPA and/or
•    Masters in Engineering/Masters in Computer Science with experience in data analytics/reporting
