Job Description: 

Are you a risk professional with a strong background in banking operations, governance, and controls? We are looking for a Assistant Manager, Trade & Cash Business Risk to strengthen our first line risk management framework and partner with business and operations teams to drive a strong risk culture across the Trade & Cash business.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing operational risk, governance, controls, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness across the country. You will work closely with business, operations, compliance, and risk stakeholders to identify emerging risks, strengthen controls, and ensure adherence to regulatory and Group standards.

Key Responsibilities

•           Act as the primary risk partner for the Trade & Cash business, providing oversight of operational risk, controls, governance, and regulatory compliance.

•           Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate operational risks, ensuring effective execution of the Operational Risk Framework and adherence to Group policies and local regulations.

•           Lead risk reviews, process assessments, control testing, issue management, and remediation activities to strengthen the control environment.

•           Monitor risk metrics, KRIs, KCIs, operational losses, incidents, and audit findings, ensuring timely resolution and escalation where required.

•           Support internal and external audits, regulatory reviews, governance forums, and risk committees.

•           Partner with business, operations, compliance, audit, and risk stakeholders to drive risk awareness, control effectiveness, and continuous process improvement.

•           Oversee regulatory change implementation, vendor risk governance, and risk-related projects within the country.

•           Promote a strong risk culture through coaching, training, and stakeholder engagement.

Skills and Experience

 

•           Strong experience in Operational Risk, Business Risk, Compliance, Audit, or Banking Operations.

•           Knowledge of Trade Finance, Cash Management, and banking operational processes.

•           Proven ability to manage risk frameworks, controls, governance, regulatory obligations, and audit engagements.

•           Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

•           Experience in data management and information security is advantageous.

Qualifications

•           Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

•           Professional certification in Risk Management, Operational Risk, Compliance, or a related discipline preferred.
