Job Summary
Join our dynamic Americas Global Banking Team in New York as an Associate Director, M & A Advisory, and take your career to the next level! As an Associate Director with the M&A Advisory team you will play a key role in supporting origination and execution of M&A transactions for the bank’s clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Support, end-to-end, origination and execution of M&A transactions
• Prepare presentation materials for use in client pitch meetings and during transaction execution, covering topics such as market activity, industry trends, company financial analysis, strategic alternatives, M&A opportunities, combination analysis etc.
• Lead drafting of financial model, marketing and other transaction materials together with Directors/VPs
• Defining, guiding and reviewing detailed valuation analysis, including DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables and LBO analyses
• General industry/ country/ company research including benchmarking
• Coordinate efforts with deal team members across the Bank; and
• Day to day project management and execution support on live transactions
• Support senior members in preparation of strategy papers / participate in strategy discussion to the extent relevant
• Ensure internal policies and procedures laid out by the Bank are adhered to
• Follow the bank compliance procedures as required and maintain required confidentiality for M&A deals
Our Ideal Candidate
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a front end investment banking role
• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong financial modelling and presentation skills
• Knowledge of various aspects of M&A product and processes including financial analysis, valuation, DCF, EPS accretion / dilution etc.
• Highly motivated, self-starter and with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders and meet deadlines with quality output
• Exceptional communication skills with ability to interact with senior members and clients
• Command over MS Excel, PowerPoint and industry relevant databases Bloomberg, S&P Capital IQ etc.
• FINRA SIE, Series 63, Series 79 (licenses will need to be obtained if not already held)

Expected annual base pay range for the role is 168,000 USD to 210,000 USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
