Job Description: 

Job Summary

•    Responsible for supporting Head, CPBB CFCC Advisory in India for matters pertaining to Channels.  The person will be responsible for handling CDD matters for CPBB clients .  
•    Responsible for providing details of developments in compliance and conduct, giving rise to a material risk that serious regulatory breaches or breaches of country risk appetite metrics may occur and notifying any such breaches to (as appropriate):
o    Head, CPBB CFCC India
o    the relevant Heads of Business
•    Responsible for providing details of developments relating to Channels financial crime risks, giving rise to a material risk that serious regulatory breaches or breaches of country risk appetite metrics may occur and notifying any such breaches to (as appropriate):
o    Head, CPBB CFCC India

Key Responsibilities

Business
•    Ensure that key changes (to CDD related laws, rules, regulations) pertaining to Channels are communicated and cascaded (incountry) and training is provided to relevant stakeholders
•    Ensure appropriate advice is provided to the relevant stakeholders on the interpretation and application of CDD related regulatory expectations, laws, best practices and policies related to Channels CFCC.

Processes
•    Support Head CPBB CFCC India in review and approval of appropriate CPBB CDD policies/processes/DOls to address CFCC risks related to Channels, aligning them with relevant regulatory requirements

People & Talent
•    Practice appropriate culture and values. work in collaboration with risk and control partners.

Risk Management
•        Support Head CPBB CFCC India in identifying and assessing sources of Channels, related regulatory risks and ensure that systems and controls are appropriate to mitigate and manage risks within acceptable risk tolerance levels. Report on material regulatory, CFCC risks pertaining to  Channels.
•        Maintain track of risk mitigating action plans pertaining to Channels.
•        Inform Head CPBB CFCC India serious regulatory breaches (or where risk tolerances have been breached) and ensure that actions are taken quickly to remediate and/or activities are ceased.

Governance
•    Support Head CPBB CFCC India in CDD related oversight of the Channels  CFCC function in India. including the various Group CFCC frameworks and programmes within India .
•    Ensure lessons learned from audit findings, CFCC assurance activities and specific investigations are prepared and cascaded to relevant stakeholders.
Regulatory relationships 
•    Support Head CPBB CFCC India in managing CDD related regulatory inspections pertaining to Channels.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

•   Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
•   Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. •  Support CPBB CFCC India team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank's Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Operation of Financial Markets; Financial Crime Prevention; The Right Environment
•  Support Head CPBB CFCC India in effectively and collaboratively identifying, escalating, mitigating and resolving risk on Channels CDD CFCC matters.
