Graduate Financial Control Specialist
We’re looking for a talented graduate to join our team as a Financial Control Specialist. This graduate role sits within Standard Chartered Global Finance Services. This team is at the very heart of the professional services, core systems and processes at the Bank including client care, finance services, risk, technology services, cybersecurity, cyber forensics, regulatory compliance, and banking operations.

Responsibilities
As a Graduate Financial Control Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the accuracy of books and records pre-month end and ledger close.
- Performing quarterly analysis of movements in balances, variance and identify business reasons.
- Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for financial statements and related footnotes and maintain standard list of accounting and reporting reviews for pre-quarter close.
- Managing quarterly & annual group queries from Group Finance, Product Control, Treasury & Tax teams.
- Ensuring that periodic reconciliation & substantiation exercises across the Bank are performed smoothly and escalate exceptions / non-compliance to the department head and Country Finance
- Delivering and executing the controls as laid out in the controllership framework.
- Testing and sign off financial control measures when the organisation launches any new product, ventures, subsidiaries and such other specific projects.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.

• Confident to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.
• Self-motivated and can work independently and proactively seek guidance from others as needed.
• Some basic industry knowledge would be an advantage.
Eligibility
This role is open to fresher candidates who are Qualified Chartered Accountant or Qualified Cost Accountants. Candidates need to be available to start work in August 2025.
