Job Summary

This position as part of the DQ Monitoring and Analytics team in Finance & Treasury will play a pivotal role in implementing Technical Solutions for Data Quality and Analytics strategy for Finance & Treasury. The individual in this role will need to partner closely with numerous business functions to -

  • Implement standardisation in the way Data Quality (DQ) issues are managed monitored and tracked across the Finance & Treasury Processes.
  • Contribute towards the creation of a data analytics capability to centralise and analyse adjustments, data quality exceptions. Provide insight into inconsistencies and common themes for resolution.
  • Provide expert data quality and analytics capability to identify and correlate DQ issues across Finance into common root cause and resolution.
  • Develop real time technical use cases to improve or bridge the control weaknesses and help the technology team to implement them.
  • Identify the change, recommend and prioritize them appropriately for creating efficiency within the projects.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Work with technology and business stakeholders to produce a clear data profiling, data analytics and MI strategy across Finance and Treasury.
  • Establish a cross cutting DQ platform to correlate exceptions, adjustments and DQ issues to identify inconsistencies and the most impactful areas for remediation.

Business

  • Work closely with upstream business functions to validate and identify DQ issues as close to source as possible.
  • Understand the booking models, trade processing and system landscape for SCB business functions.
  • Work with Risk to understand and correlate DQ controls, exceptions and adjustments for BCBS239 purposes.

People & Talent

  • Provide process teams with self-service capability and training to conduct data analysis in a methodical manner

Risk Management

  • Responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group relevant to F&T Data Quality.  

Governance

  • Provide information into DQ Governance forums for all relevant Finance and Treasury Processes (where material DQ Risk is identified).
  • Present updates into the Finance Regulatory Remediation Programme on progress against the overall Data Quality Monitoring Plans.

  • CERTIFICATIONS  -   Data Quality tools or Data Science (added advantage)
