Job Summary

Treasury is driving a multi-year programme to deliver scalable and integrated solutions across Markets, Liquidity Stress Testing and Performance Management. The ultimate goal is to provide business a holistic view of their balance sheet and how various regulatory and internal constrains affected their profitability through forecasting and simulation. The outcome of this work will have direct impact to bank’s return on tangible equity (RoTE).

 

We are looking for a talented individual to lead a brand-new team that support Treasury Markets on analytics and PnL forecasting. This person needs to possess deep business knowledge, excellent analytics ability, and superb communication skills.

 

The successful candidate will need to work with other local reporting teams, on-shore traders and project teams to produce and explain various analytics & forecast that drives business outcomes. This person will need to combine technical skills with understanding on process to ensure the tool & process are compliment and drive any improvements / optimization when needed.

Key Responsibilities

•    Oversees BAU support for Treasury Markets & Treasury CFO team on productionised tools and solutions.
•    Provides analysis and explanations to the business clients.
•    Takes responsibility on back-testing analysis for the existing tools.
•    Proposes optimisation ideas for the solutions from technical and process perspective with proper business justifications.
•    Guides and reviews work performed by junior members of the team, provide frequent feedbacks. 
•    Manages communications with desks, policy owners and risk managers to understand user needs, resolve issues and promote usage of the tools developed
•    Documents and updates all underlying methodologies, documents of instructions and operating models, ensure its complement with existing policies
•    Participates in project work delivery of new function / capabilities on the existing tool, participate in UAT on behalf of delivery lead and / or business user

Skills and Experience

•    5 to 10 years of proven experiences in Treasury / Finance BAU function.
•    Experience in one or more of the below categories, Treasury PnL, Liquidity stress testing / Forecasting, IRRBB, GIM / NIM analysis, FTP and / or Capital / RWA ideally with a focus on explanation of analytics,  forecasting and simulation
•    Deep understanding of balance sheet structure, financial data and regulation & metrics
•    Prior experience with Data and Analytics Platform (Dataiku, SAP SAC, Databricks, Tableau, MicroStrategy, PowerBI, etc)
•    Ability to communicate effectively at various levels (e.g. senior management, trader / business stakeholders, project squads, working groups)
•    Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
•    Degree in Finance / Economics / quantitative fields, CFA / FRM designation is highly beneficial
•    Knowledge of Excel VBA and Python is highly beneficial
•    Work experience in the design and development of automated reports / processes is an advantage
•    Work experience in end-to-end change management covering business requirement gathering and documentation, solution implementation and testing is an advantage
