Job Description: 

Key Responsibilities

Strategy
•    Development and execution of Balance Sheet Analytics (BSM) Actuals and Flash MI and Analytics specific strategic goals with respect to Balance Sheet, Capital / Liquidity & IRRBB / FTP ensuring alignment with Group Treasury, Cluster Treasury, CPM, Finance, Technology stakeholders.
•    Work with RRP team leadership to drive forward the RRP team strategy, incorporating feedback from the regulators, 2LOD, audit and other stakeholders across the firm globally.
•    Identifying and implementing best practices to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
Business
•    Drive balance sheet performance by analysing key metrics (RoTE, liquidity, NII sensitivity, RWA) and delivering actionable insights to optimise financial outcomes.
•    Provide advanced balance sheet analytics and insights to support decision-making across Treasury, Finance, and business stakeholders
•    Deliver integrated analysis across capital, liquidity, IRRBB, and profitability metrics to identify optimisation opportunities.
•    Produce high-quality actuals, flash and forecast MI to enhance performance tracking and forecasting accuracy.
•    Partner with senior stakeholders to develop balance sheet optimisation strategies and commercial proposals for governance forums (ALCO / relevant committees).
•    Support preparation of high-impact ALCO papers, including analytics, insights, and recommendations.
•    Support effective functioning of ALCO through agenda coordination, documentation, minutes, and tracking of action items to closure.
•    Act as subject matter expert on balance sheet analytics, responding to internal and external stakeholder queries and driving continuous improvements.
•    Build strong partnerships across Treasury, Risk, Finance, Compliance, and Audit functions.
•    Support embedding of Recovery & Resolution Planning requirements into BAU processes, aligned with key risk frameworks and regulatory expectations
•    Contribute to development and maintenance of RRP policies, frameworks, and governance standards.
•    Collaborate with Group, regional, and country teams to ensure consistent and harmonised RRP implementation.
•    Drive development of RRP capabilities, including supporting Centre of Excellence initiatives and cross-jurisdiction coordination.

Processes
•    Ensure timely, accurate, and consistent delivery of balance sheet MI and metrics aligned to standard taxonomy across in-scope markets.
•    Deliver advanced analytics and insightful content to support senior decision-making forums (e.g. ALCO, Treasury, CFO).
•    Act as the central point of expertise for balance sheet insights, responding to stakeholder queries across Treasury, CPM, and Finance.
•    Establish and monitor KPIs to ensure operational efficiency, data integrity, and completeness of reporting processes.
•    Implement robust governance and control frameworks for balance sheet adjustments, including remediation tracking and control oversight.
•    Review key reports submitted to senior leadership (e.g. Treasurer, CFO) to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency.
•    Leverage automation and data tools to enhance efficiency, scalability, and quality of MI and analytics processes.
•    Support seamless transition of change initiatives into BAU, aligned with regulatory and technology objectives.
•    Lead delivery of RRP regulatory submissions across key jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with local and global regulatory requirements. 
•    Drive production of Crisis MI and Recovery Indicators to support stress and recovery readiness. 
•    Manage RRP participation in risk and control frameworks (e.g. RCSA), ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and governance standards. 
•    Coordinate prudential compliance processes, ensuring robust documentation and audit readiness for RRP requirements. 
•    Develop and maintain end-to-end RRP procedures (e.g. process maps, documentation of instructions). 
•    Drive continuous improvement and optimisation of RRP frameworks, processes, and capabilities.

People & Talent
•    Planning and allocating resources effectively to meet management information commitments.
•    Developing the team to build capacity and elevate team capabilities at pace to be business partners.
•    Providing guidance, training and mentorship to the GCFO India team on functional BSM knowledge, best practices, and B/S strategies.
•    Building relationships to improve collaboration across Group, Cluster, Segments, CPM and GCFO functions to resolve issues and implement changes for BSM.
Risk Management
•    Monitoring and ensuring that appropriate BAU and Change governance and controls are followed across all BSM Actuals and Flash MI and transformation activities.
•    Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to identify the risks in B/S performance against the set thresholds / guardrails that supports balance sheet optimisation.
•    Identifying, monitoring, and escalating as and when required key issues in the balance sheet data gaps, guardrail breaches, forecast deviations leading to suboptimal balance sheet management.
•    Drive the development and maintenance of a comprehensive RRP controls environment, ensuring an effective and sustainable approach.
•    Track regulatory landscape and any risks to the regulatory commitments.
•    Provide proactive advocacy on new requirements and manage expectations of senior management and relevant stakeholders.
Governance
•     Monitor and ensure that appropriate Change governance is followed across all transformation initiatives.  Represent the function at the governance forums in place for tracking change initiatives and influence decisions in respect of the change backlog, prioritisation, choice of technology tools and the operating model.

Skills and Experience

Specific Skill set :
Technical
•    Manage end-to-end delivery of Balance Sheet, Leverage exposure, RWA, Leverage and Returns MI, analysis for Treasurer, Head of Group FP&A, and other stakeholders across Group and Clusters.
•    Understanding of the bank’s products and services with specialisation in atleast one of FM, CIB, or Treasury products

Balance Sheet Management

Qualifications

•    MBA (Fin) or Master’s in finance / Accountancy / Economics or affiliated subjects; Undergraduate degree in Commerce / Science / Engineering.
•    Chartered Accountant: Risk Management or related Professional Certification will be an added advantage.
•    Minimum of 10 years experience in any combination of Balance Sheet Management, Capital, Liquidity, FTP or IRRBB and Recovery Resource planning

•    Own end-to-end balance sheet MI—accurate, consistent, timely—across in-scope markets and standard taxonomy. 
•    Deliver cross-metrics insights (liquidity buffers, NII sensitivity, RWA / capital impacts) to optimise RoTE and balance sheet outcomes.
•    Build sharp actual/flash/forecast views to improve performance management and forecasting accuracy
•    Shape decision-ready narratives and papers for senior forums (e.g., ALCO / Treasurer / CFO) with clear options and recommendations
•    Act as the go-to SME for balance sheet “explains”, responding to Treasury / CPM / Finance queries with speed and precision.
•    Strengthen governance & controls for adjustment processes; track remediation and monitor quality through meaningful KPIs.
•    Drive automation & process simplification to scale MI/insights and reduce manual effort. 
•    Lead RRP regulatory submissions and BAU embedment across key jurisdictions; keep documentation audit-ready.
•    Produce Crisis MI & Recovery Indicators, and steer RRP engagement across RCSA and 2nd/3rd line governance.
