Job Summary

•    We are seeking talented and motivated individuals for the role of Full Stack Developer. Successful candidates will be experienced programmers who can develop user stories, design, and implement solutions across both frontend and backend technologies. They will be proficient in Java for backend development and React or Angular for frontend development.

•    Candidates must be able to develop test cases, break down complex problems, and design and develop solutions in an environment with constant collaborative discussions. They will be mature individuals who are comfortable working in an agile environment with critical peer reviews of design and code. They must be able to offer constructive critical reviews of others’ designs and code and collaboratively work with product owners to develop user stories and test cases.

•    Successful candidates will also be able to research, trial, and recommend new technologies of interest to the group. They will have experience taking code through testing, deployment, and production, ensuring end-to-end delivery, rather than merely handing off code to QA and Production Support. Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks like React or Angular, combined with backend expertise in Java, will be essential for this role

Regulatory & Business Conduct

Key Responsibilities

•    At least 6+ years of experience in Microservice API development using Java frameworks for backend development and React or Angular for frontend development.
•    Experience in developing REST and SOAP APIs for seamless integration between frontend and backend systems.
•    Strong administration and development skills in API integration with in-house applications, third-party vendor applications, including Trading Networks.
•    Hands-on experience in Docker-based environments, including Kubernetes or OpenShift container platforms, for scalable and containerized application deployment.
•    Frontend Expertise: Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks like React or Angular, with experience in building responsive and dynamic user interfaces.
•    End-to-End Development: See changes through to completion – discovery, coding, configuration, testing, documentation, review packaging, and production deployment.
•    Performance Tuning: Experience in performance tuning and running PT using tools like JMeter or similar.
•    Agile Practices: Ensure adherence and continuous improvement of Agile practices, coaching and teaching new techniques to the team as needed to achieve optimum productivity.
•    Banking Domain Experience: Experience working in a banking domain preferred but not mandatory.
•    Collaboration: Engaging and collaborating with a wide group of technology teams, including upstream TP systems, integration, modelling teams, database administrators, messaging teams, and architecture.
•    Database Knowledge: Knowledge of Postgres or Oracle relational databases is an advantage.
•    Frontend and Backend Integration: Ability to seamlessly integrate frontend applications (React/Angular) with backend APIs (Java Microservices)

 

•    Hands-on experience in Spring Boot and API development for backend services, along with proficiency in frontend frameworks like React or Angular for building dynamic user interfaces.
•    Strong knowledge in Agile Development practices, including CI/CD, TDD/BDD, SCRUM, and Kanban methodologies.
•    Minimum 6 years of experience in software development, with expertise in both frontend and backend technologies.
•    Experience with Atlassian software suite: Leverage advanced features and tools for project management and collaboration.
•    Passion for technology: Comfortable in team-oriented, collaborative, and consultative environments.
•    Proven skills in coordination and leadership: Manage vendors and internal teams effectively, while fostering collaboration.

•    Strong knowledge of risk and regulatory delivery: Ensure compliance with risk and regulatory requirements during development.
•    Comprehensive knowledge of software design and development: Expertise in all aspects of the SDLC.
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members.
•    Analytical skills: Strong problem-solving abilities to address technical challenges.
•    Development and Project Management: Ready to work on both development tasks and project management responsibilities.
•    Standards and Frameworks: Contribute to the creation of standards and frameworks for the project.
•    Multi-project handling: Capable of managing more than one project simultaneously.
•    Technical Documentation: Prepare architecting solutions documents, technical audits, and high/low-level technical design documents.
•    Functional and Technical Architecture: Learn and understand relevant application architecture and use it effectively during development.
•    SDLC Adherence: Follow documented SDLC lifecycle as per quality management standards.
•    Requirement Gathering and Solutions: Participate in requirement gathering and solution meetings.
•    Development Tracking: Track overall development progress and project management tasks.
•    Technical Assistance: Support developers by providing technical guidance and improving technical competency levels among team members.
•    Module Design: Design modules based on technical specifications.
•    Best Practices: Implement best practices for both frontend and backend development.
