Job Summary

Strategy

•    Implement the Fraud Risk management infrastructure (tools and technology) for channels and products within WRB.
•    Project management to deliver Lending fraud risk management technology tools
•    Manage fraud risk, assisting businesses with implementing the 'best in class' tools & processes to minimize fraud losses while maintaining and adhering to customer charter goals and objectives.

Business

•    Assist implement FRM policy, strategies and Global Process Standards across all channels and products.
•    Ensure the fraud risk management framework is effectively embedded and communicated across Retail Customers segment.
•    Deploy the strategies for processes and control automation across products and channels for management lending external fraud risk. 
•    Ensure delivery in line with stakeholder expectations and results in a clear outcome of fraud reduction.


Processes and Projects 
•    Manage project delivery including planning, scope, budget and resource .
•    Support program manager in the planning, delivery and implementation of projects.
•    Build cross functional relationships with business, FRM, technology, risk , compliance etc to enhance delivery.
•    Ensure all the mandated artefacts are produced to the necessary standards and within required timelines.
•    Provide timely and accurate status updates to key business stakeholders and senior management.

People & Talent
•    Support identification, engagement, and retention of high quality FRM professionals. 
•    Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives.
•    Ensure that holders of all critical roles are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
•    Lead through example and cultivate the appropriate culture and values. 

Key Responsibilities

Risk Management
•    Identify and share industry best practices and work with the businesses for their feasibility and implementation.
•    Ensure all country FRM policies and procedures comply with Group Policies and Standards. 
•    Proactive in seeking regular assurance that areas of responsibility are performing to an acceptable risk and control standards.
•    Balance business performance delivery and cost management with risk and control matters to ensure that it does not materially threaten the Group, while remaining within risk appetite.

Governance

•    Provide oversight across WRB Risk Operations team, ensuring compliance with the highest standards of regulatory and business conduct and compliance practices as defined by internal and external requirements.
•    Embed the Group’s values and code of conduct in Retail Banking Operations to ensure that adherence with the highest standards of ethics, and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations among employees’ form part of the culture.
•    Accountable for satisfactory closure of issues / gaps arising from Internal Audits, peer reviews and regulatory reviews for the countries in the Region.

•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Qualifications
