Job Summary

This part of the team primarily responsible for conducting due diligence on managed investments providers and products ranging from ETFs, mutual funds and alternative investments. The team’s coverage is global, including both offshore and onshore products across Standard Chartered Bank’s footprint. 

Key Responsibilities

Strategy*
•    Awareness and understanding of the Group's business strategy and model appropriate to the role

Business*
•    Lead team responsible for fund providers and fund products due diligence
•    Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates 
•    Contribute to the overall growth in funds AUM across the bank through MI solutions across both PvB and retail segments

Processes*
Funds/ ETF/ ILP due diligence 
•    Deliver high quality due diligence for Managed investment Providers new on-boarding.
•    Perform Biennial provider reviews of Managed Investment Providers on timely manner. 
•    Deliver efficient and comprehensive due diligence for Managed Investment products.
•    Perform Annual PRR/Performance review on Managed Investment products with accuracy and engage country MI teams for a timely completion of client notification and system update.
•    Other governance related reports 

Fund Select Support:
•    Supporting and maintaining ongoing collaterals for recommended products.
•    Offering support in terms of quantitative analysis 


People & Talent*
•    Lead team through example and build the appropriate culture and values. 

Risk Management*
•    Ensure all works to be processed and completed with full adherence to internally policies

Governance*
•    Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which we operate managed investment.
•    Closely work with country Managed investment teams to ensure our works to fulfil the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.

Regulatory & Business Conduct*

•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
