Title: Associate Director, Reporting & Visualisation

Job Summary
The primary focus of the role is to operate as a centralised data hub for Advisory and Managed Investments in Standard Chartered. The individual will perform data aggregation and be responsible for building automation infrastructure and data visualisation for reporting initiatives, enabling the reporting of business trends and insights to senior leaders. The individual will work closely with the Global Advisory and Managed Investments Teams to support the growth of the Managed Investment and Wealth Management business globally.
The individual will source large sets of data from multiple sources (files, APIs, databases), transform and normalise the data, and present it in dashboards or similar visualisation tools to assist with reporting, management, tracking, and analysis of the data to draw insights and make recommendations. They will also be responsible for distribution of business performance for periodic reporting to management.
The individual must have excellent analytical skills and be comfortable working with large sets of data and presenting findings that tell a clear, insightful and compelling story. They must have advanced working knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Microstrategy and have created dashboards using these applications. They must also have excellent knowledge of MS Excel and MS Powerpoint.
The individual will sit alongside the Wealth Management Data Analytics Centre of Excellence team, providing thought leadership and acting as a subject matter expert on Managed Investments within the broader team, helping to ideate appropriate data analytical solutions to address strategies to increase Managed Investment penetration, grow Managed Investment AUM and client retention.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy

- Interpret the Group’s financial information, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures
- Ensure data security and data sharing in secured way through SharePoint in password protected files

Qualifications
- Education – University Graduate/ Post Graduate
- At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in business analytics, with experience in Wealth Management or Mutual Funds/ETFs a positive
- Excellent analytical skills, be comfortable working with large data sets, and have a logical mindset with attention to detail
- Familiarity with databases like Morningstar, Bloomberg, Refinitiv is preferred
- Extensive experience building dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or Microstrategy
- Have strong knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint, VBA, SQL
- Experience in SAS, python is preferred
- Strong communicator and an ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation including global stakeholders
- Self-motivated and resilient
- Language – must be proficient in English
