The Risk Monitoring & Insights (RMI) OTCR team, established to support Group Risk and CFCC, centralizes the production and risk management activities in a service hub. This allows teams to make risk-reward decisions based on judgment and expertise, influence business and regulatory outcomes and oversee strategic risk and compliance programs. The RMI-OTCR team needs to ensure the effective, sustainable, and controlled operation of the Dynamic Risk Monitoring (DRM) -RCSA Copilot Tool. The role holder is responsible for end-to-end DRM platform administration, including user access, configuration, monitoring, and incident management. They perform monitoring of Early Warning System (EWS) alert. They drive data quality management and root cause analysis, generating risk insights through trend analysis and rule effectiveness reviews. They support users through role-based training, guidance materials, ongoing support, and communication of changes. They also support governance, testing, and continuous improvement of both platform capabilities and LLM-generated outputs in collaboration with Technology and AI teams.

This is a global role, covering SCB's presence across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas, and spans multiple business lines such as Retail Banking, Private Banking, Wealth Management, Transaction Banking, and Financial Markets.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
• Understand and support the bank’s strategy to unite businesses and functions and drive organizational transformation.
• Help build world-class risk and compliance capabilities, fostering a risk-aware and client-focused environment for the bank’s next phase of growth.
DRM Platform & System Administration
• User & Access Management
• Manage user access requests, including review, validation, and approval in line with access governance standards.
• Administer role-based access control, including creation and maintenance of roles and entitlements.
• Perform periodic access recertification and manage access changes for joiners, movers, and leavers to ensure least-privilege and segregation-of-duties principles are maintained.
• Platform Configuration & Maintenance
• Configure and maintain system rules, parameters, and workflows in accordance with business, risk, and regulatory requirements.
• Implement updates and configuration changes to support new countries, businesses, processes, products, or risk requirements.
• Ensure configuration changes are documented, tested, and compliant with change management procedures.
• Incident & Problem Management
• Raise, log, and track incident and problem tickets related to platform and system issues.
• Collaborate with Service Bench Technology, Tech AI team and Risk & CFCR Chief Data Office (CDO) teams to investigate, diagnose, and resolve incidents within agreed service levels.
• Support root cause analysis for recurring or high-impact incidents and contribute to implementation of permanent fixes.
• System Monitoring & Operations
• Proactively communicate to all DRM users any issues related to system performance, availability, capacity, and scheduled batch runs, based on notifications from the Service Bench Technology team.
• Monitor for and identify anomalies, failures, or performance degradation, escalating issues promptly and coordinating appropriate corrective actions with relevant teams.
• Serve as the primary contact for communicating data-feed issues identified by the CRHS team to DRM users and support reconciliation or validation checks to ensure data integrity.
• Release & Change Deployment Support
• Support release deployments and change implementations, including coordination with Technology and business stakeholders.
• Participate in testing activities (user acceptance testing) to validate changes and new releases.
• Perform post-implementation validation and monitoring to ensure successful deployment and system stability, escalating issues where necessary.
Risk Monitoring, Alert Management & Early Warning
• Performing daily monitoring and triage of alerts and exceptions.
• Classifying Early Warning Signal (EWS) alerts as either true risk or false positives and cancelling false positive EWS alerts where appropriate.
• Tracking remediation actions and associated resolution timelines to ensure timely closure.
• Managing orphan and overdue/ageing alerts, including:
• Working with the M7 team to ensure accuracy and completeness of library data; and
• Engaging with 1LoD and 2LoD to confirm risk and process ownership.
• Where a user is on leave or absent, allowing the MS Admin—upon receiving a valid request—to use the “Re-assign Alert” function in the Alert Dashboard to reassign the alert to another user with the same role.
Data Quality Management
• Collect and document details of data quality issues identified by the Risk and CFCR Chief Data Office (CDO) teams.
• Identify and investigate data quality exceptions to assess impact, root cause, and remediation requirements.
• Coordination with 1LOD data owners to remediate issues
• Maintenance of data quality rules, thresholds, and KPIs
• Root cause analysis of recurring data issues
• Review the CE/RR override data quality report and perform root cause analysis of overrides to identify opportunities to enhance the CE/RR logic.
Risk Insights
• Trend and thematic analysis across risk types and processes
• Rule effectiveness/override analysis and false-positive assessment
User Enablement & Change Management*
• Role-based onboarding and refresher training
• Development and maintenance of user guides, FAQs, and training materials
• Ongoing user support
• Capture and triage user feedback and enhancement requests

Governance, Assurance & Continuous Improvement

Collaborate with the Technology AI team to update and refine models, improving their accuracy and relevance.

Qualifications
Overall Working Experience:
• Overall, 10 years of experience in Banking or Financial Institution or Regulator or Fintech or equivalent industry
Business & Contextual Experience in at least one of the below:
• Retail Banking
• Wealth Management
• Private Banking
• Transaction Banking – Trade
• Transaction Banking – Cash Management
• Markets (e.g., Sales & Trading, Global Credit Markets, Private Side)
Domain and Functional Experience in one of the below:
• OTCR – Operational, Technology and Cyber Risk
• Experience in Business or Product or Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Management or Control Oversight in a front or first-line role
Other experience:
• Well versed with tools and techniques of analysing potential risk exposures
• Understanding of effective communication skills.
• Understanding of best practice risk assessment techniques and risk management frameworks.
• Understanding of the key features of relevant laws and regulations relevant to the Group
• Sound judgement on business practices, regulatory relationship management and reputational risk,
