JOB SUMMARY

  • The role requires a person with experience in analytics preferably from Banking and financial services industry. Key competencies looking for is a person who is able to interpret business problem to a analytics context, solve the business problem using relevant technical tools and communicate the insights / findings to business in a simplified manner. The person should also be able to manage ambiguity with customer focus, collaborating with an aptitude to learn and improve

RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy

  • The primary focus of the role is to deliver analytics projects within the Wealth and Retail Banking Analytics. The individual will be responsible for end to end analytics solution development and execution. Also provides timely business insights and acts as a subject matter expert to design and recommend appropriate analytical solution in addressing key issues within the business.

Business

  • Trend analysis in Wealth and Retail Banking Client book/ KPIs and highlight risk and opportunities to business
  • Preparation of monthly Wealth and Retail Banking analytics packs; Highlight the key trends to management
  • Work with cross functional teams and heads to deliver on initiatives with data led insights 
  • Develop suite of marketing triggers/analytics tools for country, Client segmentation by data mining to personalise on channels, offers 
  • Accountable for end to end management of campaign: Designing, Execution, Tracking, Develop and agree with business on financial model for each campaign. Liaise with business to develop client proposition and execution modalities
  • Effective governance on campaign and leads management enabled through regular governance forum and business performance reviews 
  • Able to communicate findings to business stakeholders in a simplified manner
  • Able to prioritise and manage expectations across stakeholders
  • Able to coach and mentor juniors on analytics solutions

  • Continuously improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of processes
  • Ensure effective management of operational risks within the function and compliance with applicable internal policies, and external laws and regulations

People & Talent

  • Champion and act as role model of the group’s values
  • Driving an environment of collaboration, both within Wealth and Retail Banking and across the wider Group, to ensure issues are raised and blockages are resolved in a timely manner 
  • Coach / mentor juniors on analytical reasoning and other technical skills

Risk Management

  • Interpret the Group’s financial information, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures
  • Ensure data security and data sharing in secured way through SharePoint in password protected files

Governance

  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role

Qualification

  • Education     Post Graduate or University Degree
  • Training        At least 6 years of relevant experience in banking / financial services industry
  • Experience  Overall work experience in between 6- 9 years.
