Job Description: 

JOB SUMMARY

The role holder will support the Senior Manager ERA Delivery in activities related to the business management and governance & control processes for Enterprise Risk Analytics function.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
•    Support the Head of CIB Model Delivery in the oversight of the delivery agenda across CIB Modelling team.
•    Support in implementation of CIB Modelling team target operating model and the changes to people, policy, processes, technology, and governance are managed effectively and imbedded appropriately into BAU.
•    Coordinate effective communication, both internally and externally, on capabilities and progress on deliverables.
Business
•    Awareness of core deliverables including current Model Development activity and future planned strategy.
•    Good understanding of customer business needs including expectations from Regulators as well as our internal Business functions model requirements.
Processes
•    Support in ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) in place where necessary, particularly as the build out of our offshore locations progresses.
•    Support in cost capitalisation process, tracking of headcount, FTE and costs, owning the monthly process to monitor this.
People & Talent 
•    Proactively scan the landscape and assist in identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group that come from key activities undertaken by the function. 
Risk Management
•    Proactively scan the landscape and assist in identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group that come from key activities undertaken by the function.

Governance 
•    Proactively drive the management of audit, both internal and external, and residual risk commitments.  Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure audit commitments are met and comprehensive regular updates provided.
•    Support ensuring adherence to Operational Risk Framework and support the design and testing of key controls.

Regulatory & Business Conduct 
•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
•    Support the team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles.
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

•    Members of CPM MT
•    Senior members of the CIB Modelling team including 1 downs of the CIB Modelling team
•    Internal & external Audit
•    Group Regulatory Liaison

Qualifications

•    Degree or equivalent educated in numerical disciplines.
•    5-6 years’ experience in risk functions within banks or financial services. 
•    Prior working experience in governance related activities (processes, policy, and standards) is necessary.
•    Project Management experience and skills are a must.
•    Broad knowledge of quantitative model risk management, processes and associated risks and control requirements.
•    Multi-disciplinary expert with knowledge of regulatory guidance and requirements related to risk management.
•    Excel/VBA and PowerPoint skills are essential.
•    Engage senior stakeholders effectively and maintain productive working relationships and resolve non-productive conflicts.
•    Expert in presenting difficult concepts in a clear and concise way.
•    Analytical, problem-solving skills.
•    Focused and organised, with the ability to prioritise and deliver effectively quickly in a fast-moving environment.
•    A self-starter, proactive and self-motivated person with a high level of drive, dedication and desire to excel consistently.
•    Team oriented, while able to complete tasks independently.
