Job Description: 

Key Responsibilities

Strategy
•    Involvement in process improvements and automation initiatives 

Business
•    Eager to learn and master new products and markets in Banking & Financial Industry 

Processes
•    Ensure effective handling of daily BAU and booking of margin movements in collateral management system. Engage with credit, legal, compliance, XVA, front office, middle office and margining teams to resolve margin disputes and issues concerning the accuracy of margin calls. Effectively handle client queries, issues and complains.   

People & Talent
•    Good Team player and fast learner. Great cooperation with team in cross training. Always willing to learn. 

Risk Management
•    Ensures due care and diligence is exercised on operational matters relating to credit risk acquiring relevant knowledge and training; thus providing support to superiors and subordinates. Key Control Standards Assessment within department with various operational aspects of the process. Follow up on corrective/ preventive actions to a point where concerns arising from these findings are addressed to a satisfactory level

•    Ensure full compliance of all laid down rules, regulations, policies, guidelines, procedures, practices, and code of conduct imposed by the Company/Group.

Qualifications

We are looking for motivated and outstanding candidates to join Financial Markets Operations (FMO) team. Bring your hard-working attitude, and we will invest in your learning and capabilities to be future leaders in our organization 

•    At least 2 years of working experience in Operations Risk, Collateral Management, Middle office and banking operations
•    Understanding of margin and portfolio reconciliation requirements under Doff-Frank, EMIR, HKMA, MAS etc
•    Expert understanding of OTC Derivative, MTM valuation, Margining, ISDA/CSA, Repo and SBL and Trade sensitivities
•    Sound understanding of the functioning of various asset classes, Trade Life Cycle, FO & MO functions and front to bank processing
•    Sounds knowledge of industry platforms like ‘Acadiasoft, Tri-Resolve, Bloomberg, Reuters, IM Exposure Manager etc
•    Ability to communicate effectively with peers, senior management and other stakeholders within the organisation.
•    Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
•    Excellent written & spoken communication, good team player and self-motivated
•    Added advantage if proficient in Mandarin language
•    Knowledge of operational processes, operational risks and controls
•    Proven ability to support identification of operational risks and to suggest control enhancements
•    High level of PC literacy with a strong understanding of Microsoft Products
