Job Summary

Strategy
•    Ability to connect to the big picture & drive Small and Digital Venture executive delivery of exiting BAU process.
•    Drive upcoming integration plan for the process and smooth integration with existing BAU. 
•    Ensure to achieve efficiency in processes, quality, and cost by digitization & simplification of process.
•    This role requires strong understanding of current financial and business performance drivers through regular engagement with business finance teams 
Business
•    Needs to and be aware and understand the Group’s Strategy (looking at the big picture) and should be able to relate to it.

Processes
•    Drive new centralization process and stabilize into R2R space by putting robust structure, controls and validation. 
•    Monitor and publishing of KPI on Financial & Non-Financial.
•    Leverage process/domain expertise to identify opportunities for quality & process design improvement with new ways of working by holding the values of the Group and Company at all times.
•    Contribute to transformational agenda in terms of strategic, consensus building, driving and contributing to objectives.. 
•    Creating and implementing policies and procedures to identify, resolve and document accounting /operational issues in addition to creating procedures to make the close and reporting processes more efficient and accurate. Raise relevant risks to delivery by effective communication.
•    Continually reviewing all assigned processes in order to identify opportunities for quality & process design improvement
•    Preparation of white paper supporting the monthly close process and month end balances & publish timely KPI, MI dashboard for senior management and stakeholders.
•    Planning and execution of delivery thought process as part efficiency and standardization.
•    Provide adhoc MI and dashboards on a timely manner.
•    Responsible for the monthly close process, completion of books of accounts, accountings controls and accounting operations processes, ensuring compliance of regulations, policies, and requirements of the “in scope” countries/entities.
•    Manage the process for review and recording of journal entries required to reflect the monthly activity and continuous improvement in productivity to the standards prescribed from time to time.
•    Continually reviewing all assigned processes in order to identify opportunities for quality & process design improvement
•    .Lead all internal and external audits (EY / GIA) & submission of timely /accurate reports to GFS Operation
•    The candidate should be flexible for Africa /Middle East time zone (Friday off with Sunday working) and willing to extend as necessary during the month close cycle
 

Key Responsibilities

Risk Management

•    Highlight delays & related impact considering inter dependencies. 
•    Highlight process risk in appropriate forum & timely closure.
•    Provide insights and brainstorm the mitigation measures with respective function leads
