Job Summary
- This role is an exciting opportunity to be part a large multi-asset eTrading trading system development team that is distributed between London, Singapore and Bangalore. The successful candidate is expected to
- Have an awareness of the overall eCommerce business strategy and carry out day-to-day work in a manner that achieves those overarching goals
- Be a subject matter expert in Agile software delivery with an ability to transition teams from Waterfall ways of working to Agile ways of working
- Run multiple scrums and strive to make process improvements for betterment of the software development and delivery process
- Support of the Programme Manager with regards planning, resource allocation and senior stakeholder reporting
- Provide project management for preparing delivering software into Production environments

- Whilst there is no direct line management responsibility, this pivotal role is central to all interactions amongst squad team members, as well the engagement of the wider set of stakeholders across the business and technology teams. Hence excellent, verbal and written communication skills are required. Inter-personal skills are a must to be able to work with people.
- As part of a continuous drive for improvement, you will be expected to provide feedback on squad team members and helping to enhance individual team member’s performance so that we can build a more productive delivery team.
Risk Management
- Ability to identify, prioritise and manage risks and issues using a suitable framework
Governance
- As an Agile practitioner, the candidate is expected to help organise the teams for a sprint by doing sprint planning
- During a sprint cycle, the candidate will be expected to run daily scrums and help to remove any impediments that exist for team member
- Strive to improve the process for running scrums/sprints and protect the team from outside interruptions and distractions
- Ensure bank-wide software delivery methodologies are followed and help to collate the required information to pass various quality controls provided under Technical Delivery Assurance (TDA) and any other such like governance
- Help to do release planning and coordinate with all stakeholders involved to provide a controlled handover to production
- Work with the product owner and other stakeholders as necessary to determine sprint scope
Strategy
- Support the Chief Product Owner and the Product team in compiling quarterly plans via Big Room Planning sessions, as well as helping to build the annual Book of Work.
Business
- Experience of working in the technology function of an Investment Bank, Financial Services Company or Technology Company.
- Experience of working in a Front Office Trading technology department is preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of the FX business, core FX products and market participants are preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of electronic trading platforms and low latency trading is advantageous.
Processes
- Experienced in driving the delivery of complex software delivery projects in an agile environment
- An experienced Scrum Master (preferably certified) who can facilitate the Scrum ceremonies, ensure the teams follows Agile best practice and act as a servant leader for the project team
- An experienced Project Manager (preferably PMP certified) which experience of delivering projects in a Classic, Waterfall environment including planning, resource allocation, financial management and project governance.
- Experienced in setting up and maintaining JIRA and Confluence tools to facilitate effective Agile Project Management.
- Experienced in creating and maintaining Agile Metrics in JIRA to monitor a team’s velocity and delivery progress
- Experienced in proving clear and concise status updates
- Experience of raising risks and issues and escalating to management at the earliest opportunity to ensure items are resolved in a timely manner.

Key stakeholders
- Provide coordination and project management to ensure successful delivery of projects
- Act as an intermediary between business stakeholders and the development team
- Assist in the requirement gathering with a multitude of stakeholders from different disciplines within the bank and of different levels of seniority

Release Management
- Experienced at negotiating, planning and managing all release activities
- Experience of producing deployment Run Plans in conjunction with Development Leads
- Experience of adhering to a delivery assurance framework to ensure delivery risks are appropriately managed
- Experience conducting release readiness reviews and business Go/No-Go reviews
- Experience maintaining release schedules and ensuring alignment across key partners
- (Preferred) Knowledge in ADO Boards and ADO Pipeline
Change Knowledge
- Experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies
- Good track record of communicating effectively with both business and IT staff at all levels.
- Experience of delivering large scale change (process, tooling, etc) within a structured programme management environment.
