Job Summary
The Senior Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and security of cloud infrastructure. The position requires strong technical expertise in cloud platforms, automation, and DevOps practices to support business objectives and drive innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
Develop and execute cloud strategies to enhance performance, scalability, and cost optimization.
Provide architectural guidance to align cloud solutions with business goals.
Business
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand cloud requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Evaluate new cloud technologies and recommend enhancements to existing systems.
Processes*
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment. Ensure best practices in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent tools.
People & Talent
Mentor junior cloud engineers and provide technical guidance. Contribute to training initiatives and promote cloud best practices within the team.
Risk Management
Monitor cloud environments for security vulnerabilities and compliance risks. Implement automated monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure system health and security.
Governance
Ensure cloud solutions adhere to internal governance policies and industry standards. Maintain cloud cost governance and optimize cloud resource utilization.
Key stakeholders
• Work closely with Cloud, DevOps, security, and software engineering teams
Skills and Experience
- AWS or Azure Cloud
- SHELL, PYTHON, NODEJS
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
