Job Description: 

Job Summary

•    The role of the Data Business Analyst - CLM” is to primarily support and implement data by design with-in CLM-T.  This involves Provide data discovery, data analysis and design expertise to enable delivery of the Business Data Architecture. Documentation of the relevant discovery and analysis artifacts as required , Support the data quality management framework requirements and Provide support in the Profiling, investigation, root cause analysis and remediation activities.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy
Understand the following; 
•    Group Data Management Standards and all other policies/standards related to data
•    CIB Data’s vision and strategy and how it supports it’s strategic goals
•    CIB Business Plan and its strategic goals and enablers
Ensure the following; 
•    All changes are in line with the Group Data Management Standards and other relevant data related policies/standards
•    All design aspects of the change are fit for purpose, aligned to CIB Data Standards and Principles, and ultimately achieve the required business goals
•    Adherence to the relevant CIB procedures
Business
•    Develop an understanding of the current state data architecture landscape for the CLM data and CLM processes. 
•    Develop an approach and lead the data discovery work for CLM data in the current state data architecture landscape.
•    Lead the analysis of the data discovery work, identify enhancements to improve the quality of the data and produce the data lineage artefacts required by data architecture.
•    Ensures proposed by data lineage designs aligns with the design work defined by Business Data Architecture
•    Support the CLM data glossary by mapping the system level data attributes to the business terms.
•    Manage and engage key stakeholders across data domains in the bank.
•    Supports the following;
•    Reviewing change requests and perform the required analysis to identify potential impacts (upstream and downstream) that may arise due to the request(s

•    Providing ongoing support to Technology delivery partners; e.g. reviewing documentation and test cases, closing out open issues/questions related to data, etc.
•    Occasional need to work on weekends to support business testing and implementation activities
•    Adherence to laws and regulations, internal risk and compliance policies and the Group Code of Conduct
•    Completion of all mandatory risk and compliance training including e-learning within stated timeframes
Processes
•    Understand Coverage processes and how these processes create / Amend data.
•    Maintain a mapping of Processes to Conceptual data model as right level of granularity to support changes.
People & Talent
•    Experienced in leading and developing enterprise level data models for Financial markets industries. 
•    Experience in developing Data Definitions and data standards for data attributes. 
•    Experience working with large data sets and relational databases
•    Knowledge in SQL and/or other data query skills
•    Experienced in of data quality management, metadata management and metadata tooling.
•    Experience in banking / financial institution preferred
•    Strong problem solving and analytical skills; able to break down complex problems to identify core requirements 
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present to various stakeholder groups 
•    Ability to work effectively as a self-starter with self-motivation, as well as good organisation skills, and ensure deadlines are met.
•    Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and engage with all levels of management
•    Good understanding of the risks related to poor data.
•    Innovative mindset that continuously looks out for automated solution rather than manual work around 

Risk Management
•    Identify risks and issues, and ensure appropriate mitigation or treatment plans are in place 
•    Actively manage risks and issues identified, and escalate appropriately 
•    Incorporate appropriate controls when designing processes/solutions 
Governance
•    Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines 
•    Ensure all necessary agreements are obtained from the respective CIB Data workstream leads and are auditable
Regulatory & Business Conduct
•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

•    Embed Here for good and Group’s brand and values in Singapore CIB Data Team; Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures; Multiple functions (double hats);

•    Experienced in data modeling tool such as Erwin  
•    Experienced in data analysis tools such as Alteryx, Dataiku, or Informatica (Preferable)
•    Experienced in data visualization tool such as Tableau or the likes (Preferable)
