Key Responsibilities
Strategy*
- Developer for time critical and highly visible regulatory application to strategize and implement regulatory commitments as well as maintaining and improving Live projects stability.
- Must be a fast learner to gain domain expertise.
- Excellent communication and co-ordination skills.
Business*
- Understand business purpose of user stories and estimate development tasks to fulfil the story. Work directly with product owners on technical stories and further define the details on how the story should be implemented
Processes*
- Optimize application code for maximum speed and scalability. Integrate software components and third-party codebase. Enforce Technical processes, standards and best practices to the team
Risk Management*
- Maintaining excellent relationships and communication with Global stakeholders, other IT teams, product and application owners, and vendors
Skills and Experience
- 0-2 years of experience in backend development with exposure to Java frameworks and microservices architecture concepts .
- Basic understanding of REST API development principles and familiarity with SOAP concepts.
- Foundational knowledge of API integration concepts with willingness to learn integration with in-house applications and third-party vendor systems.
- Basic Knowledge of REACT, HTML and CSS.
- Participate in the full development lifecycle under guidance - contributing to discovery sessions, writing clean code, basic configuration, unit testing, documentation, and supporting deployment activities.
- Embrace Agile methodologies and actively participate in sprint ceremonies, demonstrate eagerness to learn new techniques and contribute to team productivity.
- Interest in financial services domain - willingness to learn banking concepts and regulations preferred.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including senior developers, integration teams, database administrators, and architects to understand system interactions.
- Knowledge of Oracle relational databases is an advantage.
- Continuous learning attitude with enthusiasm for staying updated with modern backend development practices and emerging technologies
- Effective communication skills for participating in technical discussions, code reviews, and knowledge sharing sessions.
Qualifications
- Engineering Degree (BE/BTech) and/or MBA from reputed university, preferably in Computer Science / Information Technology discipline
- A committed technologist to design solutions for complex problems. Hands-on with the team to code and test solutions.
- Good communication skills must have for this role.
