Job Summary

  • SC Identity Platform team sitting in Technology Strategy & Architecture organization are seeking an Engineer with 5 or more years of experience to develop and support on functionalities of our Single Identity Platform. 

Key Responsibilities

Strategy
•    Understand the bank’s strategy and implementing identity and security features to deliver the bank’s platform strategy. 

Business
•    This role will work alongside with our Single Identity Platform team to build industry leading feature capability.

Processes
•    Understand the bank’s software delivery processes and implement solutions in line with the bank’s compliance and security requirement.  

People & Talent
•    Work collaboratively with Single Identity Platform team and diverse engineers to deliver identity and security products and tooling.
•    Produce technical documentation and prepare training materials on the solutions being delivered and provide technical support.

Risk Management
•    Understand bank’s risk management framework and embed that into the technology solution being delivered.

Governance
•    Understand bank’s software delivery & quality assurance framework and assist in solutioning in respective governance activity.

•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
•    Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

•    Serve as a Director of the Board

Skills and Experience

•    API development & own API technical implementation in a scrum team.
•    Hands-on experience in Java. Proficient in additional languages such as .NET, JavaScript, Scala, Python, Kotlin is a bonus
•    Hands-on experience with Test Management tooling such as Azure DevOps Test Plan is highly desirable
•    Experience in DevOps with exposure to CI/CD tools such as ADO, Git, Ansible
•    Experience with Unix and Windows host operating systems, scripting (Bash/Shell or PowerShell) & networking is desirable
•    Experience with container and microservices services such as Quarkus, Spring Framework as well as container platform such as Podman, Docker and Kubernetes is bonus

Qualifications

•    5-7 years of experience working as a software engineer/dev lead
•    Strong communicator with experience in agile working environments
•    API development & own API technical implementation in a scrum team
•    Hands-on experience in Java or Go. Proficient in additional languages such as .NET, JavaScript, Scala, Python, Kotlin is a bonus
•    Working knowledge of API development standards
•    Working knowledge of OIDC, oAuth 2.0, Tokenization framework, MFA, Identity Management, Cryptography. Proficient in other security framework such as FIDO, SAML is a bonus
•    Experience in micro services architecture 
•    Experience in DevOps with exposure to CI/CD tools such as ADO, Git, Ansible.
•    Experience with Unix and Windows host operating systems, scripting (Bash/Shell or PowerShell) & networking is desirable
•    Experience with containers as well as container platform such as Podman, Docker and Kubernetes is bonus
•    Experience in ELK stack with data instrumentation & Telemetry 
•    Knowledge of database systems and design on SQL & Postgre SQL
