Job Summary
• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced UI/UX Engineers with strong expertise in UI development in particular engineering solution that is related to current use cases on AI/ML initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep technical proficiency in building UI components and code for modern AI platforms, with exposure to cloud ecosystems (Azure/AWS) and microservices-based integration patterns.
• The candidate should be capable of designing and maintaining UI ecosystems while collaborating with cross-functional teams including data scientists, development, and product teams. Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks is required.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
• Contribute to the definition and execution of the broader UI strategy within AI CoE and work with the bank’s central UI frameworks and ecosystem. He at all times will keep organizational objectives while building UI components.
• He will need to drive the target UI architecture, modularization, standardization, automation, and optimization.
• Ensure alignment of solution architecture with enterprise practices and governance standards.
• Foster innovation by always leveraging AI code assistance while delivering the product.
Business
• Understand end-to-end data flows across structured and semi-structured data domains while implementing the AI features.
• Collaborate with analysts to translate business requirements into UI experience features.
• Contribute to the design of intelligent data systems that enhance business decision-making.
Processes
• Improve code quality statistics, participate/drive code reviews and continuously reduce technical debt
• Study existing engineering processes and contribute to improvements to drive up efficiencies
• Model behaviours that facilitate Agile delivery
• Exhibit passion for client experience with a user-first mindset
People & Talent
• Mentor team and foster a learning culture focused on innovation and excellence to meet common goals and objective.
• Promote architectural best practices by helping teams adopt modern automation and monitoring tools.
• Lead knowledge-sharing sessions across teams to encourage adoption of new data tools, frameworks, and patterns.
• Collaborate with team to productionize the product, it will be joint ownership model to make the feature achieve the go-live for the intended business function.
Risk Management
• Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations, including RBAC and internal risk frameworks.
• Monitor system performance and proactively mitigate risks related to integrity, scalability, and latency.
• Participate in threat modelling and architectural reviews to ensure adherence to enterprise security standards.
Governance
• Maintain high-quality documentation of UI framework architecture and components.
• Ensure all solutions comply with architecture review frameworks (ARF) and data governance standards.
• Participate in regular architectural and code review boards to ensure continuous improvement.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.
