Job Summary
• we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior mlops engineer with expertise in databricks and advanced python development for machine learning applications. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in operationalizing machine learning models, building scalable pipelines, and developing robust python-based solutions to support ml workflows. You will collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and software developers to deploy, monitor, and optimize machine learning systems in production environments.
• Design, implement, and maintain MLOps pipelines for deploying and monitoring machine learning models in Databricks.
• Develop advanced Python-based solutions for machine learning workflows, including custom libraries, utilities, and frameworks.
• Collaborate with data scientists to automate the training, testing, and deployment of ML models using Python and Databricks MLflow.
• Build scalable and efficient ETL pipelines for data preprocessing and feature engineering in Databricks.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for machine learning workflows using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Write high-quality, modular, and reusable Python code for ML model deployment and monitoring.
• Optimize Python-based ML code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Manage and optimize Databricks clusters, including cost management and performance tuning.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production ML systems, ensuring reliability and low latency.
• Ensure compliance with security and governance policies for data and models.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in MLOps, Python development, Databricks, and cloud technologies.

• Understand the bank’s MLOps strategy and implement automation solutions to enhance the machine learning model lifecycle, from development to deployment and monitoring.

• Collaborate with application delivery teams to adopt and implement MLOps pipeline solutions, enhancing delivery efficiency and operational maturity.
Processes
• Understand the bank’s software delivery processes and implement MLOps solutions that align with compliance and security requirements.
People & Talent
• Collaborate with diverse engineers in sprint delivery, create technical documentation, prepare training materials, provide technical support, and conduct sessions to onboard and accelerate adoption by application delivery teams.
Risk Management
• Understand bank’s risk management framework and embed that into the technology solution being delivered.
Governance
• Understand bank’s software delivery & quality assurance framework and assist in solutioning in respective governance activity.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.
