Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our global Regulatory Reporting Technology team, driving the end-to-end technology solutions that underpin our Markets regulatory reporting framework. This role involves full accountability for the technology strategy, architecture, and lifecycle management of key regulatory reporting platforms including FM-SHARK, FM_REG_RECON, ORCID, Reporting Lake, SUPDASHBOARD, TRACK, and UTI Services.
As Head of Regulatory Reporting Technology, you will champion the development and execution of innovative, resilient, and compliant technology solutions that ensure our adherence to global and local regulatory requirements. Your leadership will enable real-time, intraday, and end-of-day reporting submissions, enhanced reporting controls, and robust exception management to meet evolving regulatory demands.
This pivotal role requires a strategic vision to streamline fragmented processes, automate controls, and introduce observability and analytics to enhance transparency and operational governance. You will partner with diverse stakeholders — including Markets Product, Compliance, Risk, and Technology divisions — to translate regulatory challenges into targeted and sustainable technological improvements.
Key Responsibilities
As the leader of the Regulatory Reporting Technology function, you will be responsible for directing the strategy, operational delivery, and risk management of the entire regulatory reporting technology portfolio globally.
- Develop and oversee execution of a comprehensive multi-year strategy and investment roadmap aligned with regulatory priorities and enterprise data standards.
- Manage full lifecycle of regulatory reporting applications, ensuring their evolution to meet regulatory obligations and business needs with high availability and compliance.
- Deliver trusted, timely operational and regulatory insights with clarity on metrics, data lineage, and controls to enable effective decision-making and regulatory confidence.
- Drive technology modernisation initiatives focused on reducing manual intervention, integrating systems, and enhancing automation and observability across the reporting ecosystem.
- Lead efforts to embed self-service reporting, AI-enabled analytics, and natural language query capabilities while ensuring robust governance and security.
- Ensure operational resilience through proactive capacity planning, access control, change governance, and continuous control maturity improvements to reduce reporting risk.
- Foster strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure alignment on regulatory requirements, technology roadmaps, and risk mitigation.
This role is based in Bangalore, operating full-time within an office environment, leading global teams and collaborative innovation in regulatory reporting technologies.
Skills and Experience
Candidates should possess extensive expertise in Post Trade Reporting, Management Information (MI), and data analytics, demonstrating a deep understanding of regulatory reporting frameworks and technology platforms.
Practical experience in developing and scaling self-service reporting and data visualisation tools is essential, including proficiency in leveraging AI-enabled analytics to enhance decision support and reporting accuracy.
Proven track record in formulating and executing technology strategies that foster innovation while ensuring operational resilience and rigorous control adherence is highly desirable.
Leadership capabilities must include managing complex technology platforms, driving regulatory readiness, maintaining robust control environments, and cultivating inclusive, high-performance team cultures.
Strong stakeholder engagement and portfolio management skills are critical, enabling the orchestration of diverse priorities and vendor relations to achieve sustainable technology delivery outcomes.
Motivations
The successful candidate will be motivated by a commitment to delivering transparent, accurate regulatory reporting that enhances regulatory trust and market integrity.
You will thrive on building and nurturing global technology teams that blend regulatory intelligence with engineering excellence to produce resilient, innovative reporting solutions.
Driving continuous improvements in reporting accuracy, exception handling, auditability, and compliance will be key motivators, along with a passion for shaping future-ready platforms through data standardisation, control automation, advanced analytics, and ethical AI application.
You will be inspired by the opportunity to reduce operational risk and regulatory exposure by promoting a culture of continuous innovation and robust control discipline.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years' experience within Financial Markets technology, specifically in regulatory reporting, control frameworks, data management, MI, or analytics platforms, with significant leadership roles.
Demonstrated experience managing and delivering regulatory reporting technology in live production environments is essential, encompassing trade repository reporting, data reconciliation, exception management, and audit evidencing.
You must possess strong technical acumen to critically assess and influence reporting architectures, data models, processing workflows, visualisation tools, and risk control measures, translating them into compliant and operationally efficient outcomes.
Proven leadership capability in managing global teams and sizeable portfolios of technology investment and vendor relationships is required, with demonstrated success in delivering platform modernisation, resilience enhancements, and AI-driven insights.
Educational qualifications include a bachelor's degree as a minimum, with a master's degree or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred. Additional certifications in analytics, business intelligence, data governance, AI analytics, financial markets technology, or enterprise architecture will be advantageous.
