Title: Lead, Credit Data Science, AI/ML & Analytics

Job Summary
• This role is a leadership role within the Standard Chartered CIB Credit Transformation programme. This role will lead a team of Data Scientists and Analyst, ensuring the wider adoption and use of the AI and analytics solution to drive the business value in Credit. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AI, Data Science, Analytics, Credit processes and design patterns along with strong leadership and product management skills.
• We are a business-first team with diverse skillset across coverage, risk, product management and technology, who work with frontline and Credit SMEs to find AI and analytics driven solutions to business problems and are ably supported by BAs, ML engineers, developers, MLOps and QA testers from our squads.
• The Credit AI workstream is a big part of this agenda, and works to leverage Machine Learning, NLP and visual analytics to deliver products that drive better business outcomes. Some work products delivered by the workstream include Early warning system to identify stress on corporate entities using SOTA ML algorithms and a multi-platform Decision Insights ML product (E2E incl. data ingestion, transformation, prediction, presentation).
Key Responsibilities
The Lead, Data Science, AI and Analytics will be responsible for:
• Accountable for the delivery of all significant internal and vendor-related use cases utilizing AI and Analytics solutions in CIB Credit
• Responsible for identifying and maintaining a robust portfolio of potential use cases within the Credit domain
• Charged with the innovation, development, and delivery of advanced AI and Analytics solutions to achieve the business objectives
• Responsible for the quality and fit-for-purpose development of AI and Analytics solutions
• Responsible for fostering the capability building and career development of data science and Analyst workforce in Credit
• Coach and mentor our team as we build scalable AI and analytics solutions
• Accountable for the effective execution of the Credit Analytics & Credit AI strategy
• Consulted for innovating new AI solutions and maximizing the impact AI solutions can bring in the business benefit in the respective markets
• Consulted as a subject matter expert on topics of AI, Data Science and Analytics in Credit, driving AI innovation across Client Coverage & Standard Chartered Bank.

Qualifications
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Technology
• Proven experience in a senior AI Product development role, with a track record of successfully leading AI based initiatives.
• Design and develop AI models and leverage metrics to support predictions, recommendations, automation, and growth strategies.
• Deep understanding of traditional ML techniques such as: classification, clustering, deep learning, optimization methods, supervised and unsupervised techniques.
• Design, develop, and implement generative AI Language Models and algorithms, utilizing state-of-the-art models such as GPTs, LLaMAs, and frameworks (such as RAG) in industrial settings.
• Be responsible for ensuring adherence of solutions to Responsible AI standards. This includes representing the solution at RAI council, providing any clarifications to local compliance teams, and enabling auditability and replayability of results.
• Participate in feasibility analysis of business use cases, and validate using POCs
• Attend various forums as a representative of the AI and Advanced Analytics workstream within CIB Credit and be able to confidently and authoritatively present and discuss solutions implemented.
• Proficiency in AI metrics, observability, and model optimization techniques.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Passion for innovation and staying updated with the latest advancements in AI technology.
• Hands on with AI platform Development Expert using programming languages such as Python, Java, etc..
• Education: Master'S OR PH.D. In Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Or A Related Field
