Job Summary

•    Experience in applying machine learning techniques, Natural Language Processing or Computer Vision using TensorFlow, Pytorch
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Solid software engineering skills across multiple languages including but not limited to Java or Python, C/C++
•    Build and deploy end to end ML models and leverage metrics to support predictions, recommendations, search, and growth strategies
•    Deep understanding of ML techniques such as: classification, clustering, deep learning, optimization methods, supervised and unsupervised techniques
•    Proven ability to apply, debug, and develop machine learning models
•    Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for data analyses, model development, validation and implementation,
•    Choose suitable DL algorithms, software, hardware and suggest integration methods. 
•    Ensure AI ML solutions are developed, and validations are performed in accordance with Responsible AI guidelines & Standards
•    To closely monitor the Model Performance and ensure Model Improvements are done post Project Delivery
•    Coach and mentor our team as we build scalable machine learning solutions
•    Strong communication skills and an easy-going attitude
•    Oversee development and implementation of assigned programs and guide teammates
•    Carry out testing procedures to ensure systems are running smoothly
•    Ensure that systems satisfy quality standards and procedures
•    Build and manage strong relationships with stakeholders and various teams internally and externally,
•    Provide direction and structure to assigned projects activities, establishing clear, precise goals, objectives and timeframes, run Project Governance calls with senior Stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

• Lead the AI/ML Delivery team with active involvement in all phases of machine learning project development as a core developer.
• Develop strategic approaches for integrating AI/ML solutions aligned with business objectives to drive impactful results.

Business Execution

• Engage closely with business stakeholders to thoroughly understand requirements and translate them into effective machine learning solutions.
• Ensure that project milestones are met within the agreed timelines, managing expectations and deliverables efficiently.

Process Management

• Oversee the complete lifecycle of AI/ML use cases from concept through design, validation, deployment, and ongoing improvements.
• Maintain compliance with Responsible AI (RAI) practices, governance policies, and security protocols throughout development cycles.
• Lead model validation efforts and implement enhancements to optimize performance and reliability.
• Manage stakeholder communications to keep all parties informed and engaged.

People and Talent Development

• Assign projects and manage deadlines within the team, ensuring balanced workloads and timely delivery.
• Build and nurture a team specialising in reviewing models applied to both unstructured and structured data sources.
• Participate in talent acquisition efforts and foster professional growth through coaching and skill development initiatives.

Risk Management

• Assume full ownership of project delivery, proactively identifying and escalating risks to relevant stakeholders.
• Design and implement effective mitigation plans following a clear risk roadmap to address potential challenges.

Skills and Experience

• Expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, and machine learning techniques to transform unstructured data into actionable insights.
• Strong capability in distinguishing meaningful patterns from noise within large-scale, complex data sets.
• Hands-on experience designing, coding, training, testing, deploying, and iterating enterprise-grade machine learning systems.
• Proven track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and design, to deliver impactful solutions.
• Innovative problem solver adept at experimenting with and applying diverse algorithms to address complex business challenges.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, ensuring effective communication and alignment between technical teams and business units.
• Technical proficiency in Python, with expertise in Django for integration purposes, as well as familiarity with Kong, Solace, and relevant DevOps tools to support deployment and scalability.
• Experience managing version control systems such as GitHub and working knowledge of relational databases like PostgreSQL.
• Understanding and practical use of Large Language Model (LLM) based solutions, including prompt engineering and AI services development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher qualification specialising in Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Certifications in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are highly desirable, validating expertise in these domains.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing AI-driven solutions in a professional setting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead AI projects and deliver high-quality machine learning models that align with business goals.
• Continuous commitment to professional development and staying abreast of emerging AI trends and technologies.
