Job Summary

  • Support Data Journey (Sourcing, Aggregation, Standardization & Visualization) of the WRB Credit Risk Reporting, to ensure continued BCBS 239 compliance and/or enhance it.

  • This role will be key in driving the designing implementation of Dashboards, to continuously innovate and enhance WRB Risk Data & Reporting by maintaining a high standard of data quality and information capabilities that enables risk officers to use real-time (or reasonably recent) data to inform their decisions.

  • Understand the Operational Risk Framework and act as a bridge between Global Process Owner(GPO) and Local / Testing Hub, to support in operationalising Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) for Risk Data and Reporting, including but not limited to collecting feedback from all stakeholders on refreshing the annual RCSA control and Inherent Risk Rating (IRA) and propose GPO or his/her delegate accordingly and subsequently analyse the test results to propose Residual Risk Assessment (RRA) ratings to GPO or delegate.

    Strategy:

  • Support enterprise wide /function wide projects /initiatives in the data & technology area by collaborating with the relevant parties within & outside WRB Risk.

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

    Business:

  • Ability to formulate and comply with WRB Credit Risk reporting requirements.

  • Ability to be highly flexible, adaptable, open-minded, responsive to the behaviour of the market.

  • Comprehensive knowledge on banking practices, policies, and relevant regulatory concerns.

Key Responsibilities

 

Processes:

  • Support in User Acceptance Testing /User Validation Testing of Change Request's raised for enhancement of the Bank’s BCBS 239 compliances.

  • Understand and enable data extraction for any new products (ex. Digital Partnerships).

  • Ability to provide guidance and support around the interpretation and operationalisation of RCSA processes.

  • Provide analytical support, to enable decision making for Inherent / Residual Risk Assessment (I/RRA).

  • Ability to drive change for up-skilling and migration to new-age technologies usage like Python.

People & Talent:

•           Ensure quality processing and adherence to all key controls and checks.

•           Responsible for handling all queries relating to the role.

Risk Management:

  • Embed the group’s values and code of conduct, as it relates to the role remit, to ensure that adherence, with the highest standards of ethics, and compliance with relevant policies, processes, and regulations among employee’s form part of the culture.

  • Maintain adequate understanding and risk capabilities of Operational Risk Framework to maintain the risk profile of processes.

  • Proactive identification of risks and concerns, including escalation to all relevant stakeholders.

Skills and Experience

Governance
•    To ensure risks of processing failure are being actively controlled end-to-end.
•    Engage with relevant audit report findings and ensure feedback is acted upon.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

Qualifications

  • Good to have certifications and attended trainings on Data Science & Data Analytics 
  • 4-7 years of data analytics experience preferably in Banking / Credit Risk functional area.    
  • Ability to think analytical and strategically.    
  • Proficiency with analytic tool sets viz SAS/ SQL /Python etc.     
  • Understanding of Data Science concepts / Statistical methods    
  • Practical experience of data driven problem solving including Strategy building & Analysis etc.    
  • Candidates from other Banking KPOs, GSCs -- Analytics divisions are preferred.    
  • Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills    
  • Hands-on experience in building visualizations using Tableau,Microstrategy & Power BI
