Job Summary

The primary focus of the role is to deliver analytics projects with primary focus on Affluent Analytics and build analytical solution suites that can be used across team and markets. The individual will be responsible for end-to-end analytics solution development, deployment, performance assessment etc. Also provides thought leadership and acts as a subject matter expert to design and recommend appropriate analytical solution in addressing key issues within the business. A solid understanding of Banking Business, customer segmentation, statistical analysis and Modelling is required. Hands on Python, Pyspark and SAS is mandatory. 

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

•    The primary focus of the role is to deliver analytics solutions with primary focus on Affluent Analytics and build analytical solution suites that can be used across team and markets. The role involves extracting key data insights/ developing statistical solutions to create business value/ reduce business risks in Affluent segment across markets and work with SCB Group Management leadership to come up with strategies for Customer engagement, client continuum, cross border opportunities and client retention. The role involves extensive data processing and analysis leveraging multiple relevant data sources. The role will involve working in close partnership with multiple relevant stakeholders including business owners, data owners and providers, technology teams among others. The individual will be responsible for end-to-end analytics solution development, deployment, performance assessment etc.
Business
•    Translate business questions into data requirements and actions.  
•    Analyse data to recommend solutions to complex business problems. 
•    On the agreed methodology develop and deliver the analytical solution 
•    Partner creating implementation plan with Project owner including benefit of the solution 
•    Support on the deployment of the initiative including manual scoring or implementation support though any system 
•    Create the technical and review documents for approval as relevant 
•    Enables the organisation to be more data driven by supporting the business with critical insights and translation into action(s) 
•    Proactively shares trends and insights to trigger discussion and decision. 

Processes
•    Continuously improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of processes 
•    Ensure effective management of operational risks within the function and compliance with applicable internal policies, and external laws and regulations 
•    Lead end-to-end design and development of Affluent analytics solutions across markets
People & Talent 
•    Champion and act as role model of the group’s values
•    Driving an environment of collaboration, both within CPBB Banking and across the wider Group, to ensure issues are raised and blockages are resolved in a timely manner 
•    Be able to work in agile fashion with other teams and support development /implementation of the solution 
•    Contribute towards training sessions for knowledge management 

Risk Management
•    Interpret the Group’s financial information, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures
•    Ensure data security and data sharing in secured way through SharePoint in password protected files
Governance 
•    Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role

Qualifications

•    Education - Post Graduate (Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics or Economics, Computer Science , Business Administration)
•    At least 3/4 years of relevant experience in Banking / Financial/Marketing Services Industry
•    Good business understanding for client, segment, product and channels and marketing analytics
