Job Summary

Lead the Resilience Support Team (RST) to provide centralised administrative support to Country Business Resilience Managers, Regional Heads of Business Resilience and Head of Business Resilience and beaccountable for the successful delivery and coordination of key business resilience and crisis managementactivities.

In addition, provide leadership as the subject matter expert (SME) to team members and engage with the Regional Heads of Business Resilience and Head of Business Resilience regularly to ensure that the countries’ business resilience and crisis management requirement are adequately supported. 

Key Responsibilities

 

•    Provide guidance to Contract Owners, Process\Business Owners on the development of continuity plans for Third Parties
•    Coordinate and track completion of BIAs, BCPs and Country Strategy documents.
•    Maintain and monitor BCM testing schedule (BCPs, CrMGs, Call Notification)
•    Support Country/ Cluster Operational Resilience Managers to deliver the testing and exercising requirements
•    Support Contract Owners testing TPCPs, as recommended by the Third-Party Resilience
•    guidance materials
•    Review testing results, reporting failures to the relevant Operational Resilience Manager
•    Maintain trackers as required for monthly reporting and highlight any ageing or expired documents or activities to the relevant stakeholders for necessary actions
•    Provide administrative support for Group Internal Audit (“GIA”) responses
•    Support Control Sample Tests (“CSTs”) & Key Control Indicator (“KCI”) tests 
•    Support Regulatory Compliance Assessments with input from Country Compliance Team 
•    Provide support to DCCs in countries with no Operational Resilience presence

Skills and Experience

•    Business resilience leader with 5 – 7 years hand-on experience. Preferably from banking industry with good operational risk background.
•    Absolute authority and knowledge of business resilience and CM across regions.
•    Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and with a high degree of autonomy and initiative.
•    The bearing, temperament, and stakeholder management skills to manage relations with the Country Business Resilience Managers and Regional Heads of Business Resilience. 
•    Ability to lead teams and manage performance and career for employees. 
•    Data Analysis skills - able to analyse data trends & independently assimilate, analyse, and evaluate information from large and disperse data sets.
•    Decision-making - able to independently take appropriate decisions within delegated authority levels.
•    A very strong understanding of the dimensions and complexities of regional and industry crisis risk scenarios.
•    The stakeholder management skills to effectively influence appropriate risk management preparations even when they are at odds with business objectives.
•    Strong knowledge of banking operations, broad understanding of banking industry, customers, functions, products and the regulatory requirements governing banking operations. 
•    Strong knowledge of the technological infrastructure and IT systems used in banking.
•    Process improvement - experience of & aptitude for identifying & implementing process improvements. An aptitude to acquire professional knowledge and educational accreditation in Resilience and Continuity planning.
•    Exceptional interpersonal and communication, particularly under time pressure.
•    Ability to analyse complex issues and translate these into clear and concise reports to facilitate decisions required from senior management. 
•    Preferably a person of professional standing with extensive experience in both the technical and managerial aspects of business continuity, IT disaster recovery and crisis management planning.
•    Inquisitive & service-oriented attitude. 
•    Excellent communication in English (articulation and writing). Should be able to communicate issues and solutions clearly and concisely.
