Job Summary

•    Standard Chartered (“The Bank”) is a leading international bank operating in some of the most dynamic markets in the world, in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
•    This is a role within Group Chief Finance Office, based in India, supporting strategic system and process build out for Finance and Business community globally. The team supports implementation of complex Group Finance methodologies in an interdependent Technology stack and Process framework by engaging policy, process and technology teams across functions and locations. The outcomes impact Finance metrics of Bank’s performance and is an input to drive strategic decision making, support regulatory submissions, as well as communication of the Bank’s performance to the market and external stakeholders such as investors and ratings agencies.

Key Responsibilities

•    The role suits an individual who can conceptualise, problem solve and possess the tenacity to execute in a global & dynamic set up with cross functional working groups across policy, business, finance, operations, technology. Candidate will be conceptualising technology and process solutions, developing execution roadmap, managing technology and process delivery front to back that suits the business needs. Strong understanding of banks technology applications and data architecture with a design bend of mind for strategic and enterprise grade product development is a key enabler of success. Development of both short term and long-term solutions that help global operations teams is a key success parameter.
•    The ideal candidate would have experience in any one of the functions Finance/FP&A, Resolution, Treasury Product Control, Liquidity/Capital with specific financial institutions, or functional consulting, Enterprise product Management in banking environment. Prior experience in balance sheet management, capital and liquidity, FTP, FPnA Operations is considered favourably.
An important role in charting out and driving business outcome through technology and process solutioning.
•    Develop deep understanding of Finance Policies, methodologies and regulatory areas including Bank’s balance sheet, RWA, Cost and other (non) financial data to define allocation drivers and allocations to business products and services and their impact across various reporting metrics
•    Understand Bank’s risk and performance management metrics in capital, liquidity, management reporting, treasury, hedge
•    Develop strong understanding of SAP product and eco system specifically SAP PaPM to develop scalable and configurable designs
•    Own the bottom-line responsibility of project and technology tasks towards solution roadmap and execution.
       Support the management of Technology build out of the solution
       Lead technology delivery squad towards successful implementation of solution
       Support the business teams (CFO, FP&A and Treasury) in process embedment

Qualifications

•    Strong academic record at bachelor’s or master’s degree level in business, finance, or related field from a well-recognized institution
•    Excellent front to back experience and expertise in Project/Program delivery (Policy/Methodology to Embedment) in Finance/Global Banking set up. 
•    Proven strategic and analytical skills with a strong appetite for defining problems and offering solutions across Technology and Processes frameworks.
•    Understanding of Technology architecture, design to drive Engineering excellence and a system-view of technology and process to offer enterprise grade solutions to business problems.
•    Prior experience in Treasury Capital, Market, Product Control, Balance sheet management or FP&A/ Performance management and familiarity with FTP
•    Prior experience in Enterprise Product development, solutioning, embedment in an industry technology landscape e.g. SAP
