Job Summary
• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Stack Data Engineer with strong expertise in data engineering, feature engineering, and applied AI/ML to join our growing Data & AI initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep technical proficiency in Python, PySpark, Databricks, SQL, and modern data orchestration platforms such as Airflow and Control-M, with exposure to cloud ecosystems (Azure/AWS) and microservices-based data integration.
• This role will focus primarily on building robust data pipelines, enabling semantic and text-based analytics, and operationalizing AI/ML workloads at scale. The candidate should be capable of designing and maintaining complex data ecosystems while collaborating with cross-functional teams including data scientists, MLOps engineers, and product teams.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
• Contribute to the definition and execution of the enterprise data engineering and AI strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
• Drive standardization, automation, and optimization across ETL pipelines, data models, and ML workflows.
• Ensure alignment of solution architecture with enterprise data patterns and governance standards.
• Foster innovation by exploring LLM-based frameworks, NLP-driven data solutions for semantic understanding and text analytics and OpenAI APIs
Business
• Understand end-to-end data flows across structured and semi-structured data domains to support analytical and predictive modeling use cases.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to translate business requirements into scalable data models and features.
• Contribute to the design of intelligent data systems that enhance business decision-making through AI/ML.
• Support model training, deployment, and monitoring pipelines in partnership with AI/ML engineers.
Processes
• Design and develop scalable ETL and ELT pipelines using PySpark, Databricks, Airflow.
• Implement data quality, data lineage, and metadata management processes to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Build and optimize data lakes and warehouses on Azure or AWS platforms, ensuring efficient data access and performance.
• Enable feature engineering workflows and maintain feature stores for ML applications.
• Integrate microservices-based data APIs for cross-system communication and real-time data delivery.
• Conduct data cleaning, enrichment, and semantic analysis leveraging NLP libraries and frameworks.
• Create reusable frameworks for data ingestion, transformation, and validation.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workloads ensuring code quality checks and remediations with SonarQube, Nexus, VPT Scans, etc.
• Good to have knowledge of building containerized applications.
People & Talent
• Mentor junior data engineers and foster a learning culture focused on innovation and excellence.
• Promote DevOps and MLOps best practices, helping teams adopt modern automation and monitoring tools.
• Lead knowledge-sharing sessions across teams to encourage adoption of new data tools, frameworks, and patterns.
• Collaborate with AI researchers and data scientists to productionize experimental models.
Risk Management
• Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations, including GDPR and internal risk frameworks.
• Monitor system performance and proactively mitigate risks related to data integrity, scalability, and latency.
• Participate in threat modeling and architectural reviews to ensure adherence to enterprise security standards.
Governance
• Maintain high-quality documentation of data pipelines, ML workflows, and architectural components.
• Ensure all solutions comply with architecture review frameworks (ARF) and data governance standards.
• Participate in regular architectural and code review boards to ensure continuous improvement.
