Job Summary
The team
The successful candidate will be part of the Risk & Compute squad within Global Banking - LoansHub team, part of the wider FM technology organization. We support Global Banking (previously Corporate Finance), covering both the loan origination and distribution businesses.
We are a business-first team with diverse skillset across coverage, risk, product management, trading and technology, who work with frontline, risk, MO and ops SMEs to build technology solutions leveraging data to drive strategic decisions, optimize portfolio management and address business problems, and are ably supported by BAs, developers and QAs from our squads.
Although the primary focus for this role will be delivering a fully digitized, data driven business and risk monitoring and portfolio management and analytics tool for loan origination teams, financing risk and specialized finance, the role holder will be expected to work flexibly x-asset on three areas of focus, and apply cross-learning effectively:
• Corporate Credit and Financing Risk
• Market, Pricing and Reference data
• MI and Analytics (incl. predictive analytics, ML solutions)
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
• Awareness and understanding of the Group's business strategy and model appropriate to the role
• Strong corporate loan products knowledge on origination, structuring, life-cycling: term loans, RCF, bridge loans. Experience with
specialized finance products (Leverage Acquisition Finance, Financing Solutions, Corporate Real Estate, Shipping finance, Aviation finance) highly desired.
• Familiar with corporate lending lifecycle, documentation (credit agreements, spreads, scorecards, covenants, amortization schedules)
• Relevant experiences in financial markets or corporate finance technology covering
• Business analysis in an agile setting
• Gathering requirements and writing clear functional specifications / stories and getting them delivered
• Delivering interface analysis and data modelling
• Translating requirements / business problems into a clear set of technical specifications forming a solution. Maintain ADO ticket
backlog, establish traceability to business vision and objectives, act as SME for users Obtain stakeholder buy-in and sign-off on business requirements
• Adhere to change management standards & procedures, including documenting and capturing all artefacts (Requirements, FSDs,
Data Dictionaries, Sign-offs, Minutes of meetings) required by project governance
• Managing and removing impediments and providing pro-active day-to-day support to users across key owned / supported systems / interfaces
• Ability to work under ambiguous business environments to provide clarity and facilitate discussions to reach consensus / business decisions

• Strong scope and accountability management
• Strong regular communication highlighting impediments and requesting help where required / reporting to management on progress
• Good understanding of Loans products front-to-back
• Good knowledge of Financial Market processes (Trade processing, Life cycling, Risk, back office, etc…).
Business
• Ability to analyze complex financial datasets to extract actionable insights and inform business strategies
• Knowledge of SCB reference and static data stores like SCI, CreditMate and ACBS is highly desirable
• Familiar with corporate lending lifecycle, documentation (credit agreements, spreads, scorecards, covenants, amortization schedules)
• In-depth understanding of data models (incl FpML) for corporate loans
• Business mindset; able to triage asks, justify priority based on cost/benefit, and demonstrate value using defined metrics. Continuous tracking of KPIs.
• Preferred: ESG: Assessment/identification of ESG loans and bonds, ESG and climate risk rating data for loans and bonds, data for assessment of adherence to Poseidon principles
Processes
• Strong data munging skills including SQL, Python and database tools (eg. PostgreSQL) to support advanced data analytics and machine learning models
• Ability to quickly learn new tools / systems (risk, transaction booking systems) and understanding technology and functional designs
• Extensive experience with loan and collateral systems across the lifecycle, linkages, terminologies: Origination, servicing, monitoring and risk management, distribution / trading, reporting
• Extensive experience with credit and market risk systems and concepts
• Experience with integrating and using vendor data sources: market and economic data, reference data incl. credit ratings, eventdata (news, legal filings), risk indicators
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, interface design
• Strong knowledge on basic BA toolkit: Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, ADO, Confluence
• Up-to-date on latest app development paradigms: microservices, containerization, APIs
• Basic development capabilities (python, java e.g.) to read code, build ad-hoc, enhance tactical tools.

Risk Management
• Risk (banking and trading books) and Data (Reference, Market, Economic) Analytics expertise. This includes credit and liquidity risk measurement, Revenue, RWA and ECL calculation and optimization.
• Meticulous on documentation; maintains clear ADO backlog, detailed Confluence pages, artefacts on any solutions built.
Governance
• Oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas
• Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.

Qualifications
Candidate background
• The candidate must have at least 10 years of experience
• With banks or product companies with strong business analysis skills
