Job Description: 

Job Summary

•    The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver best-in-class applications leveraging microservices, API, PostGreS, UI frameworks and data engineering techniques
•    The successful candidate will be equally comfortable with code development, test automation, pushing production grade application code, solving problems with the team in design sessions, knitting together simple technical architectures, and communicating decisions effectively with senior stakeholders.
•    Above all, we seek a candidate with the right attitude: opiniated and optimistic yet pragmatic and hungry to collaborate. Regardless of depth of experience, we need someone who is ready to listen and learn. 
•    Among the list of below skills, not all are required. The candidate must demonstrate ease and confidence in learning any skills they have not yet had a chance to hone.

Senior Full stack Java Developer:
•    Strong knowledge and experience in developing application using Java 8 , J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring cloud and hibernate.
•    Strong knowledge and Hands-on experience on web application, Restful webservices and Microservices architecture.
•    Good understanding of design patterns and its usages to implement reusable components of code.
•    Good knowledge and hands on experiences with databases like Postgres, Oracle.
•    Good knowledge and experience on Junit and Mockito.
•    Experience in UI technologies and frameworks - ReactJS preferred.
•    Experience in docker technology and cloud-based applications (OpenShift, AWS, Azure etc.,)
•    Strong analytical and debugging skills.
•    Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
•    Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
•    Mentor and guide other team members and code reviews

Senior UI Developer:
•    Strong knowledge and Hands-on experience in design and development of Single page application using ReactJS, JavaScript/Typescript and Redux.
•    Solid understanding and working experience on micro frontend architecture.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, and product managers to deliver seamless user experiences.

•    Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
•    Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
•    Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure the smooth functioning of applications.
•    Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
•    Experience with front-end build tools and workflows.
•    Experience with front-end testing frameworks.
•    Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
•    Mentor and guide other team members and code reviews.

Software delivery
•    Strong understanding of agile methodologies
•    Strong understanding of CI/CD – ADO Azure an advantage
•    Strong understanding of test-driven development
•    Comfortable using version control and enterprise task management tools

Key Responsibilities

Strategy 
•    Supports Hive Tech Lead, Product Area Lead and Engineering in strategy of agent engineering, roadmap and execution.
•    Deliver outputs that make a significant contribution to the organization's strategic goals.

Business
•    Promote engineering craftmanship and focus on delivering business value.
•    Responsible for technical delivery and technical excellence across the squads. 
•    Works across multiple squads or hives for delivery of complex Features, Epics & Releases.
•    Point of escalation for delivery issues across all impacted hives and squads.
•    Work with Change Delivery Manager (Release Manager) to develop delivery and release plans with technical dependencies, aligning all partners with support from the team and architect.
•    Exhibit passion for client experience with a user-first mindset.
•    Drive the domain towards future state of banking and technology.
•    Ensure the technical consistency of solutions in the Hive with the business architecture, technology architecture and enterprise technology standards.

Processes
•    Study existing engineering processes and contribute to improvements to drive up efficiencies. Present ideas across other areas and foster innovation.
•    Analyze, remove, or mitigate dependencies across teams to enable speed and quality of delivery.
•    Responsible in the preparation of production outputs and their planning in alignment to ESDLC standards. 

People & Talent
•    Work on upskilling of technical expertise of the Engineers to enable them to become more efficient in agentic tools used day-to-day. 
•    Mentoring and training the squad on technical skills to become proficient at developing AI tools, services and pipelines. 

Risk Management
•    Mitigate delivery risks and issues, and ensure quality, affordability, and scope of delivery.

Governance
•    Support the remediation of tech compliance (ESDLC) requirements through the delivery lifecycle (design reviews, security reviews, code reviews, SAT, OAT, etc.) with support from HTL(Hive Tech Lead) / PO / CPO (Chief Product Owner)

•    Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
•    Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
•    Strong understanding of DevOps pipeline.
•    Experience working with large language models and other AI systems.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for language and storytelling.
•    Ability to think creatively and solve problems, adapting to new challenges and changing priorities.
•    Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ideate and optimize AI pipelines.
•    Ability to collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team.
•    Familiarity with database systems (such as relational and vector databases) is a plus.
•    Overall 8+ year Engineering experience in building data-driven applications
