Job Summary

• Identify NFRs, develop Workload Models, create test plans etc. 
• Develop performance test scripts, execute tests, monitor and analyse results, identify and troubleshoot issues 
• Experience working with performance test tools like Loadrunner, Jmeter, Gatling etc.
• Experience monitoring and tuning java-based applications
• Experience in SQL tuning and PostgreSQL/Oracle DB instance tuning
• Experience in Java programming - should be able to create custom apps/tools for performance testing and monitoring
• Maintain a testing structure to facilitate future additions / amendments and ongoing execution.
• Champion and implement testing automation at every opportunity.
• Demonstrate effective and accurate test scheduling skills in line with other project deliverables.
• Troubleshoot PT environment issues, diagnosing and resolving issues prior to formal testing.
• Utilize Jenkins or Azure Devops (ADO) to run Performance tests or integrate Performance tests in CI/CD pipelines
• Accept responsibility for testing of tactical and strategic business initiatives for TAS Platform and coordination of the business plans, policies, and processes in support of those initiatives.
• Constantly analyse, enhance and seek to improve testing processes.
• Undertake static data analysis for all system components throughout all stages of test execution.

• Successfully manage themselves during the project lifecycle.
• Identify and mitigate risks that would impact the overall projects failure and success.
• Effectively engage with multiple stakeholders and vendors on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities

Business
• Strong experience in implementing end to end performance testing/engineering solutions - requirement gathering, test planning, test execution and monitoring, result reporting/analysis/tuning.
• Strong hands-on experience in at least two of the following load test tools - LoadRunner, JMeter, Gatling
• Strong experience in monitoring and tuning java-based applications - JVM performance tuning, analysis of Heap/Thread dumps, JFR, GC logs etc.
• Strong experience in SQL tuning and PostgreSQL/Oracle DB instance tuning
• Hands-on experience in Java programming - should be able to create custom apps/tools for performance testing and monitoring
• Hands-on experience in DevOps tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps (ADO) etc., including writing pipelines and integrating performance tests into CI/CD workflows
• Hands-on experience in working on Linux systems
• Experience in setting up dashboards for metrics and logs using open-source tools like Prometheus, Loki, Grafana etc.Desired skills (good to have):
• Experience in container (Docker, Podman) and container orchestration (Kubernetes) platform
• Exposure to Generative AI and knowledge/experience in implementing relevant AI solutions for Performance Engineering
• Experience on UI performance of thin/thick client applications
• Experience in Shell scripting and Ansible for automation and configuration management 

Processes

• Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group's arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas; Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.

• 5+ years of experience in Performance Testing/Engineering and proficient with tools like Load Runner and Jmeter.
