Job Summary
Failure to effectively manage Change may lead to adverse client outcomes, breaches of regulatory requirements that could attract regulatory scrutiny, and/or damage the Group’s reputation.
• Group Internal Audit & Investigation (GIAI) in Standard Chartered Bank is looking for an exceptional and dynamic Senior Audit Manager to join our Change Transformation audit team within the Functions – Group COO portfolio.
• This global role includes risk assessment, planning and executing audits across Group Transformation processes in support of the Group’s strategic intent, change investment management, Programme Lifecycle, Classic and Agile delivery, portfolio/programme/project governance, programme planning and delivery execution, including scheduling and resource management, benefits management, financial management, risk & issue management, dependencies management, etc.
• This role will get to work on more complex audits such as cross-functional and multi-location high risk audits and will also provide you the opportunities to interact and engage with both Group and Country Stakeholders.

Strategy
• Maintain an awareness of the Group's business strategy and model, and an understanding of the Group’s Transformation priorities.
Business
• Perform, support, or lead where directed, the planning, fieldwork, and reporting of internal audit engagements to deliver agreed assurance objectives to established GIAI standards and timelines.
• Deliver quality audit reports that are effectively written with practical, actionable, measurable and value-added recommendations.
• Share knowledge, skills and experience with team members and the wider GIAI and provide advisory to internal auditors from both Business and Technology on Change Management.
• Assist in standardisation and documentation of processes, risks, and controls and work with internal stakeholders to build a comprehensive and simple test procedures for Change Management. Liaise with Change Management standard owners where required.
• Assist to track and consolidate all Change related audit issues raised by GIAI, Regulators or Monitors and provide periodic updates to internal GIAI Management and senior risk committees of the Bank.
• Apply an in-depth understanding of, and compliance with, GIAI methodology standards and the GIAI system in all areas of assigned GIAI activity.
• Evaluate quantitative and qualitative data (using data analytics) to diagnose underlying issues, patterns and root causes.
• Monitor and track assigned audit issues and action plans, and report overdue items to the Head of Audit (HOA) for resolution.

• Execute audits in-line with the Group Internal Audit methodology.

• Build good working relationships with the business audit teams to facilitate execution of integrated audit work.
• Assists in maintaining the right relationships with the Business leading to sound audit recommendations and channels of audit related communication and monitoring.
Risk Management
• Complete relevant risk assessment activities in a timely and effective manner, including the completion of Risk Assessment template.
• Assist in continuous auditing and monitoring of key risks in Change Management.
• Follow changes in the laws and regulations to identify emerging risks.
Governance
• Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group's arrangements to deliver effective Transformation governance, oversight, and controls.
• Maintain awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Key stakeholders
• Designated business stakeholders (including the Global Head of Group Investment Management, and Business/Function COO), related to individual audit assignments and the assigned portfolio; and
• GIAI stakeholders – team leaders, team members, team managers, Country and Regional Heads of Audit, GIAI Senior Leadership Group, and Audit Executive Team

Qualifications
Key Experiences
• Strong background in audit (with a focus on Change delivery and Agile concepts) with a minimum of 7 years of experience preferably in the Banking and Financial services industry.
• Knowledge and experience in Change Management (e.g. Project Management Planning, Agile Practitioner) is required.
• Attention to detail and curiosity. Strong analytical skills and eager to learn.
• Excellent writing and articulation skills to succinctly communicate complicated technical issues in business terms.
• Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining credibly effective working relationships with counterparts in Group Internal Audit and business stakeholders
• High degree of responsibility, self-motivated, requiring minimal supervision.
• Ability to collect and objectively analyse and apply information, “thinking out of the box” where necessary, in supporting the planning, fieldwork or reporting of results of audit engagements.
• Displays initiative and knows when and how to seek guidance. Willingness and capacity to learn on the job.
• Confident and courageous to raise / escalate issues in a proactive, professional and timely manner.
• Self-directed and able to work with minimum supervisions
• Working experience with analytics/visualisation tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or similar tools, and is able interpret and generate data insights using data visualisation.
Certifications / Qualifications (only where mandatory)
• Professional Audit Certification (CIA, CISA, CISM, CISSP etc) and experience in executing a risk-based Audit Methodology, or a similar methodological approach.
• Professional Certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile Scrum Master, PMI-ACP) in Change Management preferred.
• Certifications around analytics and AI/Gen AI will be an advantage
