Job Description: 

Job Summary

To deliver reports to collection management and provide support with strategy and system in collections day to day operations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

  • To deliver accurate & timely MIS and reports to collection management and help the Collection Unit to minimize net credit losses and meet the yearly budgeted 30+ delinquencies and loan impairment (LI) performance.

Business

  • The mitigation of risk by providing accurate and timely information necessary to support management decisions.
  • Accountable for generation of In-country and Group Collection MIS within agreed timelines
  • Accountable for timely delivery of accurate daily, weekly, monthly collection & recovery reports, Scorecards, Management MIS & KPI reports to collections management and the Group
  • To ensure that the Team tasks are effectively allocated and are met consistently.
  • Continuous improvement in productivity to the standards prescribed from time to time
  • Ensure attrition is within agreed benchmark
  • To ensure effective portfolio monitoring mechanisms are in place, including early warning mechanisms and contingency plans.
  • To support the reduction of credit operation costs through improvement in efficiency and effectiveness of credit operation processes/ strategies

Risk Management

  • Making optimal use of all collection tools and using analytical and data segmentation to enhance collection efficiency.
  • Upholding the values of the group & Company always, and Compliance with all applicable rules/regulations & Company & group Polices. 

Governance

  • Ensure all policies & procedures comply with SCB Policies and Standards. Ensure proper and updated documentation of all in-country procedures/DOI’s are always maintained.
  • Processing & decision making as per the Departmental Operating Instructions manual & within the timeliness and accuracy standards specified
  • Accountable for closing all Policy &/or Process Standard gaps within agreed timelines
  • Ensure that control issues &/or gaps arising from Internal Audits, Business Risk Reviews, peer reviews, regulatory reviews, and Collections QA reviews are actioned and closed within the stipulated timelines.
  • Accountable for ensuring that all staff have the right tools, equipment, and material to facilitate their doing their job efficiently and effectively.
  • The role manages validation of collection related regulatory reports including Debt collection Agency reports, manual bureau submissions and debt restructuring reports.

Processes

  • Ensure that all collection MIS and KPIs are prepared / compiled & submitted in compliance with Group Collections guidelines on format, data definition & timelines
  • Conduct data analytics as per team’s requirement.
  • Responsible to ensure that the team delivers reports accurately with adequate checks and controls are done based on the past trends.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the day-to-day performance of staff and take necessary actions
  • Maintain dynamic management of resources to cater for known & unknown absenteeism, to ensure that adequate resources are working to execute on deliverables 
  • Ensure timely submission of all reports
  • To ensure that the Collections process is carried out within the framework of code of conduct and keeping in mind the reputation of the bank.
  • Ensure all CACS deliverables are completed within TAT / zero errors
  • Assist with system related activities as and when required
  • Contribute to any project related to MI’s/CARS/Cap Plan
  • Champion continuous process improvements, through automation of standard MIS & reports, and management of data storage and archival processes
  • Responsible for timely preparation and submission of all Group/Country MI
  • Review and ensure that daily, weekly & monthly MIS, scorecards, capacity plans and KPIs are accurate and prepared in a timely manner.

Other Responsibilities

Embed Here for good and Group’s brand and values in OPS WRB - Collections; Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures; Multiple functions (double hats); Assist with any ad hoc tasks as assigned by Management including following

  • Finding actionable insights in portfolios using trend analysis, statistical techniques etc.
  • Accurate and Timely delivery of Collections Analytics dashboard.
  • Enhancement of existing Dashboards and development of new MI as and when needed.
  • Initiate and support Automation & Process optimization initiatives.
  • Maintain and improve validation framework for error-free delivery of Dashboards.
  • Support team with Adhoc data needs and root cause analysis.
  • Review and commentary on key Collections ops KPIs.
