Key Responsibilities
Operational Risk Framework for Credit Risk and Stressed Asset Risk (SAR)
• Own and oversee the monthly Operational Risk assessment processes, maintain and update the Credit Risk Register and Risk and Control Self-Assessment for both Credit Risk and SAR.
• Facilitate the completion of Control Tests (KCIs/CSTs) and other governance and control checks. Assist to identify and assess key operational risk areas and control gaps.
• Engage in periodic trigger reviews, Inherent and Residual Risk Assessments, Risk register reviews, risk acceptances, control documents and other regular assessments and ensure that outcomes are appropriately reflected in the relevant governance and reporting systems.
• Investigate exceptions, maintain supporting evidence, track remediation, and escalate material or overdue matters where required.
• Address data-quality issues and support the ongoing maintenance and accuracy of governance records.
Prudential Compliance Framework
• Maintain and update the PCF register for the applicable regulatory requirements (i.e. CRR, PRA Rulebook, PRA Supervisory Statements, and EBA Technical Standards) where Credit Risk RFO is the chapter owner
• Coordinate attestation / confirmation of the articles assigned to the various line owners as part of the quarterly and annual attestation exercise. The attestation/confirmation should be supported by a ‘deep dive’ review, which would entail obtaining documentary evidence for a sample of requirements to confirm that controls and control assurance methods documented in the compliance registers are working effectively;
• Identify appropriate line owner(s) for each changed regulation and ensure timely escalation of regulatory changes to the relevant stakeholders;
• Facilitate annual attestation and quarterly confirmation by CRO CIB Risk / delegate as Chapter Owner by providing them the result of the acceptance by line owners, any material regulatory changes, and gaps/breaches (if any), for onward submission to Group Compliance;
• Ensure that control and assurance methods documented by line owners provide a sufficiently robust control framework to enable effective ongoing compliance, including exception monitoring / reporting;
• Prepare Prudential Regulatory Compliance (Credit Risk) report semi-annually covering the yearly attestation, issues encountered during the exercise and plan/s to resolve with clear timelines for submission to Credit Risk Committee;
• Co-ordinate/support the management of audits relevant to Prudential Compliance;
ICAAP and Regulatory Capital
• Coordinate the annual Credit Risk ICAAP Pillar 2A assessment process.
• Review proposed Credit Risk Pillar 2A capital add-ons and supporting RWA and capital narratives and maintain supporting methodology, analysis, and governance documentation.
• Assess existing and emerging credit risks to determine whether additional Pillar 2A capital may be required.
• Prepare, reconcile, and validate supporting data and perform relevant KCI and CST checks.
• Coordinate stakeholder review and sign-off of Group and Solo ICAAP submissions.
• Prepare materials for Expert Panel reviews, including the methodology review and final capital assessment.
Credit NFRC Governance and Secretariat
• Support the effective operation of the Credit Non-Financial Risk Committee.
• Coordinate agenda setting, meeting timelines, paper submission, pack consolidation, quorum, minutes, and follow-up actions.
• Prepare the committee’s summary and escalation paper.
• Coordinate the annual review of the committee Terms of Reference and the periodic committee effectiveness assessment.
• Review and consolidate relevant Credit NFRC papers and management information, including EA and covenant reporting, SAR KCI reporting, Credit KCI reporting, quarterly KCI and CST exceptions, and policy exceptions.
Other Responsibilities
• Coordinate the annual and periodic review of intragroup outsourcing arrangements.
• Maintain SAR delegated authority letters and coordinate updates to relevant systems when there are changes.
• Support Senior Credit Secretariat requests on SCS Sole/Dual approval process when required
• Support the team with various reports such as Headcount reporting, Conduct dashboard etc.
• Responsible to update the Conduct outcomes and Conflict of Interest register in discussion with Group Compliance
• Perform other credit governance activities and other projects, as assigned

• Support Credit RFO / Credit PU owner in supervising the Credit Processes.
• Ensure compliance with applicable internal policies, and external laws and regulations, related to Credit Risk.
• Continuously improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the risk management processes.

Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of credit risk governance
• Experience in governance and control testing, risk registers, RCSA, KCI/CST monitoring, and issue remediation.
• Has good understanding of operating risk identification process and implementing process controls. Experience in working / implementing such methodology in process operations would be preferable.
• Understanding of Basel requirements, regulatory capital, ICAAP, and Pillar 2A and their impact on credit policy, processes, controls, and systems.
• Experience supporting senior governance committees and preparing executive-level papers, management information, and presentations.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to review capital and RWA information, reconcile data, challenge assumptions, and identify material issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex regulatory and risk matters into clear governance documentation.
• Ability to coordinate multiple ad hoc deliverables.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills and confidence engaging senior stakeholders across multiple functions and jurisdictions.
• High attention to detail, sound judgement, and the ability to work independently while maintaining effective governance and control discipline.
