Support the growth and operationalisation of the Insights Design Centre of Excellence (COE) by driving design governance, portfolio management, delivery coordination, and quality assurance across analytics and digital products.
The role is responsible for establishing scalable operating practices, ensuring adherence to design standards, managing stakeholder engagement, and enabling consistent, high-quality user experiences across all analytics deliverables. Working closely with design, analytics, business, and technology teams, the role will help industrialise the end-to-end delivery lifecycle and strengthen the design maturity and delivery effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
- Support the development and execution of the Insights Design COE strategy, operating model, and roadmap.
- Drive adoption of enterprise design standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices across analytics and digital products.
- Identify opportunities to improve design efficiency, scalability, and consistency through standardisation, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance user experience, storytelling effectiveness, and delivery outcomes.
- Support the evolution of design governance frameworks to align with organisational priorities and future-state delivery models.
Business
- Partner with business stakeholders, analytics teams, and product owners to understand priorities, demand pipelines, and delivery requirements.
- Manage intake, prioritisation, and tracking of design engagements across the portfolio.
- Coordinate delivery activities to ensure timely execution of design initiatives and alignment with business objectives.
- Develop management reporting and portfolio insights to provide visibility on delivery performance, quality metrics, resource utilisation, and business impact.
- Support stakeholder engagement and communication throughout the design and delivery lifecycle.
Processes
- Establish and manage design governance processes, review cycles, and quality checkpoints across analytics products.
- Maintain and continuously improve design operating procedures, standards, templates, and delivery methodologies.
- Facilitate design review sessions, stakeholder workshops, and project governance forums.
Monitor project progress, dependencies, risks, and issues to ensure effective execution and delivery. - Drive consistency in user experience, visual design, storytelling, and information architecture across all outputs.
- Support adoption and management of design systems, component libraries, and reusable assets.
People & Talent
- Promote a culture of design excellence, continuous learning, and quality-driven delivery.
Coach and guide analysts, designers, and project teams on design standards, storytelling principles, and best practices. - Facilitate knowledge sharing and capability-building initiatives across the organisation.
- Foster strong collaboration between business, analytics, technology, and design teams.
- Support onboarding and enablement activities for new team members and contributors to the Insights Design COE.
Risk Management
- Identify and proactively manage delivery, quality, and operational risks associated with design and analytics initiatives.
- Ensure appropriate controls are embedded within design review and approval processes.
- Escalate material risks, issues, and dependencies in a timely manner and support mitigation planning.
- Monitor adherence to agreed standards and quality requirements to minimise rework and delivery delays.
- Support compliance with organisational policies, accessibility requirements, and user experience standards where applicable.
Governance
- Serve as a central governance function for the Insights Design COE, ensuring compliance with established design standards and frameworks.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews across dashboards, management reports, presentations, and analytics products.
- Maintain governance artefacts, design repositories, standards documentation, and audit trails.
- Track and report on quality metrics, review outcomes, adoption of standards, and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Ensure all deliverables meet agreed experience, design, storytelling, and usability standards prior to release.
- Support governance forums and leadership reporting to drive accountability and continuous enhancement of delivery quality.

Skills and Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in Design Governance, UX/UI Design, Design Operations, Product Management, PMO, Business Transformation, Analytics, or related disciplines, with demonstrated progression in responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Business, Information Systems, Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles, information design, visual storytelling, user-centric design, and design thinking methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to assess and challenge design quality, user experience, visual aesthetics, and storytelling effectiveness across digital products, dashboards, and management reporting.
- Experience establishing and enforcing governance frameworks, quality standards, review processes, and best practices to ensure consistent delivery outcomes.
- Experience scaling reusable design standards, templates, frameworks, and operating practices across multiple teams.
- Strong project and portfolio management capabilities, including demand management, prioritisation, stakeholder coordination, and delivery governance.
- Experience managing cross-functional initiatives involving business, analytics, technology, and product teams.
- Familiarity with analytics and visualisation platforms such as Figma, Tableau or equivalent tools.
- Strong communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge constructively and drive alignment.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing demands.
- Experience driving continuous improvement, standardisation, and capability uplift initiatives across teams.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled design, productivity, or analytics tools will be an advantage.
- Ability to influence without direct authority and foster adoption of standards across a diverse stakeholder landscape.
