Job Summary

The Regulatory Engagement and Governance Manager plays a key role in relation to governance activities in the Traded Risk Management (TRM) function. Specifically, this role focuses on the model monitoring and country model activities for the Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) models; financial disclosures; governance of TRM-owned policies and standards; coordination of non-model-related regulatory reviews by the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA); and maintenance of the Delegated Trading and Credit Approval maintenance for TRM.

Key Responsibilities:
1.    Secretariat for the CCR Model Performance Monitoring Group.
2.    Coordination of Quarterly Internal Model Method (IMM) packs for the PRA.
3.    CCR country model identification, regulatory requests, and updates for TRM country leads.
4.    Participation in the working groups and user acceptance testing (UAT) for the new MRMS system.
5.    TRM Material Risk Takers population tracking.
6.    Coordination of the TRM quarterly achievements newsletter.
7.    Creation of TRM Emerging Risks Heatmap.
8.    Coordination of Delegated Trading Approver and Delegated Credit Approver activities in TRM.
9.    Support for activities related to TRM Policies and Standards.
10.    Support for activities related to Financial Disclosures.
11.    Assisting in coordinating/preparing materials for non-model-related PRA reviews and meetings.

Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group’s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas; Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.

Our Ideal Candidate

•    Strong background (6+ years) in Traded Risk, Financial Markets or Model Risk 
•    Masters degree in Finance or some quantitative subject (Science, Engineering)
•    Excellent analytical and project management skills
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Ability to work effectively under pressure and time constraint
•    Multi-cultural awareness and sensitivity  
•    Willing to learn and be able to overcome a steep learning curve in a relatively short period
•    Results oriented, with demonstrable experience in driving complex change management initiatives
•    Relevant relationship management experience - with corporate customers at the most senior levels and regulators.
