Job Summary
• Client Enablement and Lending Operations is the Operations area in Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) where the client relationships are maintained across the entire client lifecycle . The team provides ownership over the client lifecycle processes from onboarding to offboarding. The Client Enablement and Lending Operations team is a key strategic partner in being able to design, implement, execute and manage controls of processes and systems for Coverage.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
• The role holder is responsible for supporting the holistic governance framework for Client Enablement and Lending Operations , through understanding the Client Coverage Business Plan, the flow of reporting information within Coverage COO and understanding the delegations of authority / stakeholder landscape for Coverage.
Business
• Through understanding of the Coverage Business Plan, the role holder is responsible for enabling, maintaining and evolving governance responsibilities that support business delivery. The role holder should look for continuous improvement opportunities in the way governance is operated and communicated across the Coverage Network
• To ensure strong relationships with Regional and Country Business Management / Risk teams, to ensure alignment in governance working practices
Process and Risk Management
• Ensure common understanding of process governance requirements; working closely with Client Coverage change initiatives and PMO in embedding process governance requirements within change.
• Providing guidance and oversight for across the Client Coverage Process Universe and in-particular, the Client Lifecycle processes (e.g. customer due diligence, tax due diligence, onboarding, offboarding); supporting Process Owner teams in understanding their authorities and requirements under the Operational & Technology Risk Type Framework.
• Maintaining and improving non- financial risk reporting requirements and generating reports for committees and governance forums (e.g. Elevated Residual Risk Treatment Plans; Risk Score); maintaining the relationship with Databox reporting team, Operational Risk, CCIB governance teams and other second line teams.
• Highlight risks to management and actively monitor them to reduce the likelihood of occurrence
• Take on ad-hoc initiatives, including management of end to end updates, SharePoint- page maintenance and improvements for key processes in an effort to reduce risks and optimise efficiency across the value chain.
People & Talent
• This governance role is in a unique position to engage with many different teams and get a broad awareness of the people and culture agenda within Coverage COO. As such the role holder will have people & culture related responsibilities:
• Identify the need for people and culture deliverables within Client Enablement and Lending Operations, for example, identifying the need for training and supporting in the execution of relevant sessions
• To be a champion for Diversity & Inclusion; providing advice on channels for delivery to implement ideas
• Co-ordinate on upcoming initiatives with the communications team
• Provide Business Management support to Client Enablement and Lending Operations Management Team, on an ad-hoc basis
Risk Management and Governance
• Secretariat support for key risk and business governance meetings (e.g. Client Lifecyle Non- financial Risk Committee) and other Committees / Forums that may be established.
• Ensure that any papers submitted are to the timelines and high standards expected.
• Prepare minutes and assign and track to completion any actions
• Recommend efficiencies and simplification across the Client Lifecycle governance structure and client delivery to reduce duplication and ensure adequate levels of attention and responsibility to various streams of work

Qualifications
Education
• Degree or diploma qualified with relevant experience in multiple phases of the programme and experience in secretariat roles.
Training
• Knowledge of SCB standard processes, project management
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
