Job Description: 

Key Responsibilities

•    Implement the RCSA (Risk control self-Assessment) for Credit Risk Operations (including Account Monitoring) and monitor the operational risk metrics to identify potential control weaknesses. 
•    Performing Risk Assessment as per timeline for Group for different risk types with the Process Owners and RFO for final approval.
•    Preparing M7 templates for new risk and control monitors for upload in M7.
•    Actively work with COEs and Country Credit Risk Operations Heads 
•    Work with Business Partners, Product Partners and Risk team members to optimize Strategy and Processes
•    Support Lending and Credit Risk operations teams across countries in ensuring compliance to Policy/Procedures 
•    Helping with process improvement, identifying areas of weakness, lessons learnt and training
•    The incumbent will also be responsible to support the Governance and oversight for all WRB SME lending engagements with the CRC function, covering strategy, TOM, capacity planning, policy implementation, DOIs and assurance.
•    Support the WRB owner on the CRC’s processes and controls (all aspects of SME lending). 
•    Work with Group and Country (Product Teams, Risk Teams, BRM Teams) and the CRC to facilitate smooth operations, proper monitoring and control of risks, efficiency, effectiveness and quality of CRC operations in-country and Hubs.
•    Partner with stakeholders to review CRC processes, drive standardization and automation of processes. Provide inputs / support to the Group on standardisation / automation initiatives.
•    Manage the post-launch activities (e.g., training) to ensure that policy/process improvements or initiatives are properly implemented, consistently interpreted, understood and applied
•    Prevent occurrences of near misses or operational losses arising from ineffective credit processes or controls
•    Ensure governance that the DOI, R&R, SLAs are current and are being effectively implemented, executed, and adhered to. 
•    Ensure the service standards agreed with Business Units are met for the activities.

Strategy 
•    Support in implementation of all strategic initiatives in Credit Risk Operations and Lending Operations to ensure achievement of process efficiencies and effectiveness.

Business 
•    Ensure the underwriting processes framework is effectively embedded and communicated across Credit Risk Operations for Onboarding
•    Track and ensure strategies to meet budget and improvement plans
•    Track progress on OKRs, Capacity Plans and Dashboards
•    Ensure the cost budget in Lending and Risk Operations is based on robust capacity plans and is delivered through a rigorous cost management discipline
•    Work with the Head Lending and Credit Risk Operations on setting the framework to track budgets, MIS, cap plans, OKRs, projects and stretched
•    Communication strategy and execution for Lending and Credit Risk Operations

Processes 
•    Implement the RCSA (Risk control self-Assessment) in Credit Risk Operations and monitor the operational risk metrics to identify potential control weaknesses. 
•    Executing socialisation call with all the country stake holders and BRM team in the countries.
•    Performing Residual Risk Assessment (RRA) as per time line for Group for different risk types and interacting with different RFO for final approval.
•    Preparing M7 templates for new risk and control monitors for upload in M7.

People & Talent
•    Support the identification, engagement, and retention of high-quality professionals at the group level.
•    Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives.
•    Ensure that holders of all critical roles are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
•    Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values within the Lending and Risk Operation team.  Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
•    Identify training needs and ensure necessary trainings are conducted. 

Risk Management 
•    Work closely with the country risk and fraud teams (1LOD. 2LOD).
•    Compliance with all relevant policies and procedure, guidelines, rules & regulations

Governance 
•    Provide oversight across countries, business units, and support team to ensure compliance with the highest standards of regulatory and business conduct and compliance practices as defined by internal and external requirements. This includes compliance with local banking laws, other applicable laws (e.g. laws governing securities activities, company law) and anti-money laundering regulations and guidelines] 
•    Embed the Group’s values and code of conduct in Lending and Risk Operations to ensure that adherence with the highest standards of ethics, and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations among employee’s form part of the culture]
