Job Summary
- To provide Admin and general support to West Africa Cluster in the implementation of Client Service Resilience Framework, including fulfilment of local regulatory requirements with regards to Business Continuity Management
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
- Be accountable to the GBS India for delivery of effective Business Continuity Plans in line with the Group Policy and business strategy, in country to required standards, encompassing all key responsibilities below;
- To provide expertise and support to businesses and functions in country on the development, maintenance and testing of business continuity solutions in line with the Business Continuity Management framework;
- Accountable for execution of all BCP activations in country during tests and live crises;
- Ensure that potential threats in GBS are monitored, and that where appropriate Contingency Plans are produced in line with risk appetite and to Group standards;
- Ensure they regularly exercise against current risks;
- Establish and maintain a community of Department Continuity Coordinators (DCC's) across the country for the development, maintenance, and testing of Business Continuity Plans for all departments;
- Establish and maintain a Business Continuity strategy in line with Group standards and country strategy, to ensure recovery capability is in place to meet the needs of business across country locations;
- Responsible for ensuring Business Continuity Plan (BCP) activations are initiated in line with recovery time objectives by keeping management appraised during any interruption to business, and thereafter responsible for all activities required to ensure BCPs are effectively implemented;
- Manage the DCC community and ensure they are appropriately trained in their Business Continuity duties; provide support and guidance as required;
- Accountable for first line assurance of BCM policy, framework and controls;
- Notify Regional / Group BCM of all BCP related audit activity in GBS and manage country audit responses;
- Monitor local regulatory body for BCM requirements and report on compliance / gaps to functional management;
- Together with technology teams, ensure IT DR capability meet business recovery requirements;
- Maintain and deliver a BCM testing and assurance activity schedule that includes exercising country IT DR plans;
- Delivery of an effective Crisis Management Framework, encompassing both Country Crisis Management Plans and Contingency Plans for specific identified threats;
- Be responsible for maintaining BCP sites (including host/refugee, common area locations), to ensure that they are available and functional for use in the event of an emergency situation;
- Be responsible for monitoring the changes to the business strategy and property portfolio to identify and mitigate risks to BCPs.
- Provide timely MIS to functional management on activities, tests.
People & Talent
- Provide guidance to Contract Owners and Process / IT Service Owners on the development of continuity plans for Third Parties.
- Coordinate and track completion of BIAs, BCPs and BCP Strategy documents.
- Maintain and monitor BCM testing schedule (BCPs, CrMGs, Call Notification).
- Support Country/ Cluster Operational Resilience Managers to deliver the testing and exercising requirements.
- Review testing results, reporting failures to the relevant Operational Resilience Manager.
- Maintain trackers as required for monthly reporting and highlight any ageing or expired documents or activities to the relevant Operational Resilience Manager & Regional Head, Operational Resilience Geographies for action.
- Provide administrative support for Group Internal Audit (“GIA”) responses.
- Conduct annual Control Sample Tests (“CSTs”) on BCM controls (as per governance requirements in EORP).
- Maintain the Regulatory Compliance Register with input from Country Compliance Managers.
- Provide support to DCCs in countries with no Operational Resilience presence.

Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Banking, Finance or Accounting
- Ideally 5+ years experience in banking
- Risk & AML certified as stipulated by Bank policy
- Languages: Business English [adjust/ add as per market requirements]
- BCM ISO 22301 Lead Implementer Certificate
- Certified Operational Resilience Manager
