Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
•    Partner with In-Country teams, Compliance, Technology and other stakeholders to communicate key updates and ensure clear alignment across the team.
•    Drive continuous improvement in processes and services by applying operational knowledge and lessons learned.
•    Support the migration and ongoing BAU delivery of the In-Country Reporting function.
•    Own and support activities related to prevention, detection, assurance and oversight within the Regulatory Reporting function.
•    Provide timely, accurate and well-considered responses to external and internal queries.
•    Develop tactical and strategic process improvements, collaborating with Technology and Change teams to deliver sustainable outcomes.
•    Ensure adherence to process documents, including regular updates, maintenance and effective execution.
•    Strengthen and embed a robust control framework across the Regulatory Operations team.
•    Manage team work allocation, prioritisation and quality delivery to support consistent outcomes.
•    Actively participate in Group projects and change initiatives, demonstrating commitment, ownership and a strong delivery mindset.

People and Talent
•    Ensure the Regulatory Operations team is appropriately skilled, motivated and empowered to maintain a high-quality control environment across the reporting function.
•    Promote a culture of risk awareness, ownership and accountability for controls and processes.
•    Demonstrate strong teamwork, reliability and commitment, with the ability to collaborate effectively across the global Regulatory Operations team.
Risk Management
•    Establish and maintain a control framework that effectively supports prevention, detection, assurance and oversight processes for In-Country Regulatory Reporting functions.
•    Understand system architecture limitations and remediation plans to help mitigate day-to-day reporting impacts.
•    Continuously challenge, evolve and improve processes while ensuring clarity and consistency in the execution of current DOI requirements.
•    Ensure timely escalation of errors, omissions and technical issues that may impact reporting performance.
•    Provide a daily performance dashboard to enhance visibility, transparency and oversight of the reporting function.

Regulatory and Business Conduct
•    Demonstrate exemplary conduct and consistently uphold the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.

Other Responsibilities
•    Experience in identifying, investigating and remediating reconciliation breaks in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
•    Working knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements, including MiFID, EMIR, Dodd-Frank and in-country regimes, together with the banking systems and trade reporting platforms used to support accurate and timely submissions.

Qualifications

•    Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape, including APAC, MiFID, SFTR, EMIR, Dodd-Frank, STARS, BoE and any in-country regimes.
•    Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with FM clients and internal stakeholders.
•    Previous experience with banking reporting systems, remediation activities and system-to-system messaging.
•    Good understanding of key FM and FMO functions within the Bank.
•    Adaptable to change and comfortable working in Agile ways of working.
•    Experience working in a control-focused environment with strong attention to quality and detail.
•    Hardworking, dependable and dedicated, with the ability to work as part of a global team to deliver shared goals.
•    Previous experience managing, motivating and developing a team.
•    Able to work independently and confidently lead activities at the Bangalore site, demonstrating ownership, accountability and sound judgement.
•    Sound knowledge of Financial Markets products, with the ability to apply product understanding to regulatory reporting, controls and issue resolution.
•    Minimum of 5 years’ experience in regulatory reporting, preferably within banking, financial markets or regulatory operations environments.
