Job Description: 

Job Summary

•    As a Product Owner in TB Trade & Working Capital support the Data applications and use of AI working with the Chief Product Owner for Data.

Key Responsibilities

Business
•    Within the Trade Transformation programme focus on Trade data. Build out the foundational data structure and Trade domain data model.
•    Documents, prioritizes, and owns Epics, User Stories and Defects.
•    Assists the Chief Product Manager with developing the product road-map and vision.
•    Assists in the development of the business plans and product requirements for new products and product-based programs
•    Supports Product Managers in the rollout and client adoption of new features and products through the following: demonstrations and product expertise, training, development of marketing collateral and messaging, and other associated tasks
•    Performs other duties as assigned
•    Ensures that the agile Team has clarity on the problem and business value of the solution.
•    Validates business processes against the requirements of the business, compliance, and existing system functionality
•    Collaborates with all stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure product issues are understood, documented and prioritized appropriately
•    Participate in Sprint Planning
•    Manages development and delivery against a feature backlog
•    Serves as a member of and resource for the development team ensuring that they receive information they need and get adequate feedback on their work
•    Participates in, and supports, all software development life-cycle activities, including development, testing, implementation and rollout
•    Define and manage backlog, prioritising feature releases in line with the broader roadmap including the S2B NG client journey.
•    Be the voice of the customer in the definition of propositions and collaborate with other product owners to converge on a broader coherent proposition.
•    Provide insights into product, technology and market trends, pre-empting imminent disruptions and identifying opportunities for acceleration.
•    Work with UX and Service Design to gain an understanding of user personas, pain points and journeys
•    Gather and manage product feedback through surveys, concept testing, analytics tools, and A/B testing

Risk Management
•    Adherence to all Group Policies and relevant legislation

•    Ensure product development aligns to internal governance frameworks that sets out the requirements for the design, implementation, and maintenance of data solutions.
•    Where material changes are made to existing solutions, ensure compliance to process change impact assessment and technology change impact assessments are completed.

•    Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
•    Willingness to ‘speak up’ in the event of any realized or perceived breach of group conduct rules or laws by colleagues
•    Willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.

Skills and Experience

•    Minimum 5 years’ experience with a proven track record of success in data product management and development, preferably in the area of Corporate and Institutional Banking
•    Skills Proven track record in leading and implementing digitalization and/or transformation initiatives in Corporate and Institutional Banking driving adoption of digital and data solutions and increasing share of revenue and/or realising cost efficiencies by leveraging digital and data capabilities.
•    Good understanding of the product development lifecycle using Agile Methodology and relevant prior experience in drafting vision statements, epics and user stories, use case documents, solution papers, business workflow documents and high-level functional flows.
•    Proven track record in developing data solutions for the corporate bank at scale – across countries, regions, products & business units.
•    High integrity and personal drive, with a passion for product, technology and services transformation 
•    Effective and positive written and verbal communications especially when acting as a liaison between departments, internal employees/subordinates and clients.
•    Excellent teamwork skills preferably with experience of working in teams spread across functions and geographies
